What will happen in Egypt?
« on: January 26, 2011, 11:49:57 AM »
I have seen in the news the last few days that a revolution may be taking place in Egypt. This is not a good thing considering how much the muslim brotherhood would love to control Egypt. If this happens there will be problems for Israel. I hope that Mubarak can put down the uprising...

Thousands renew Egypt protests despite government warnings

Beefed up police forces on the streets quickly move in, using tear gas and beatings to disperse demonstrations calling for Mubarak's ouster; some 860 arrested since Tuesday; Facebook, Twitter partially blocked.

CAIRO — Egyptian anti-government activists clashed with police for a second day Wednesday in defiance of an official ban on any protests. Beefed up police forces on the streets quickly moved in and used tear gas and beatings to disperse any demonstrations.

Security officials said a total of 860 protesters have been rounded up nationwide since Tuesday, when tens of thousands turned out for the largest protests in Egypt in years — inspired by the uprising in Tunisia. They demanded President Hosni Mubarak's ouster and a solution to grinding poverty, rising prices and high unemployment.

Egyptian government blames Muslim Brotherhood for uprising

Following a deafening silence during which the largest protest in Egypt's history ensued on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011, Egypt's Minister of the Interior finally issued a statement that laid blame for the thousands of activists taking to the streets on the Muslim Brotherhood.

Egyptian police, historically known for brutality, was relatively benign in Egypt's major cities as the day's developments saw the usually 'apathetic' Egyptians take to the streets, demanding the end of Hosni Mubarak's rule. Hosni Mubarak has been in power for more than 25 years and is reported to be running for a sixth term.

Yes, me too. That would actually be better for Israel because then it would become clearer to the Israeli public what a big mistake it was to believe that there could be "peace" with Egypt while they still hate the Jews and to give them the Sinai in exchange for a worthless piece of paper. It would wake up the Israelis.

I hope I am wrong, but this volatility could be the precursor for chaos all over the Middle East.  There is already a spike in oil prices due to this incident.  Not a good situation, especially for Israel in the Middle of these countries, but Elohim has a plan.

What in the world? You want a taqqiyah master that has managed to dupe 95% of dumb Israeli Jews to continue to hold power?

The best thing in the world for Israel would be getting an honest Egypt that no longer pretends to be its ally.

I think we should do one of three things if not all 3:

1. Invade the hell hole known as Gee were You Gypt, annex it and give it to the Palestinkstains, whatever gets these vile animals out of Israel.

2. Just drop Nepalm on Egypt and let these creatures cook!

3. Replace the self-hating Israeli gov't, and put in a far-right Jewish Theocracy with Noam Federman, or Baruch Marzel or the like heading it!

I have an alternative:
4. Pop out the Asuan dam and flush the filth of Egypt down to the sea.

Hmmm... may be the tanks roll on the streets for or against the so-called people's rebellion.

The biggest enemy of Israel is the leftists that pressure the government to make dangerous concessions for worthless pieces of paper called "Peace Treaties".
I hope the side that most effectively damages the phoney peace process wins in Egypt.
Although it is too early to tell yet who indeed is going to win.

If the Suez Canal gets blocked/blown, then oil is heading for $200!

The Suez Canal is the main US route for troops and supplies reaching Iraq and Afghanistan. The US Marines and 6th Fleet better have contingency plans for seizing it!

You could see millions of Egyptian Sand-Schvartzers fleeing to Israel as refugees....and the subversive Israeli sub-imbeciles letting them in!

Israel could also go under very quickly from this crisis!

God won't ever abandon Israel but that doesn't mean they won't bring hardship and suffering down on themselves if they don't do what's right.

I agree with that... I do not think that Hashem will abandon his people... But indeed there will be difficult times ahead. I have worried about this situation throughout Shabbat.

Many things could happen. The Mubarak regime could either survive or dissapear. It it dissappears, it might be replaced by another dictator, by a radical popular Islamic regime, or by a liberal democratic Govt. In the latter case, I forsee an interesting scenario. If a secular democratic govt. happens to controll Egypt and Jordan, most likely Arabs living in Yesha would be awarded Egyptian and Jordanian citizenship and more than half of them would migrate to those countries. Now, Arab countries aren't used to free democracy. After centuries of voluntarilly or forcibly accepted oppression and fundamentalism, if they have democracy in this technological age, liberalism there would grow to levels not known even in the West, and so they will have to rethink the basis of their civilization. Due to technology, their disputes would spread even to the West, which it self has also a milenary conflict between left and right, beteween traditional anti-Semites and new leftits anti-Semites. In conclusion, if the Arab world is open to modern life styles, both them and the West would have to find a new reason for human civilization itself. And that new reason will be probably found in the Torah. The crisis began in Tunisia caused by internet. As predicted by the Zohar, the communications development which began on Shavuot 5600 (1840) would lead to Redemption.

the army is on the side of the people against mubarak.

Either way, moslem brotherhood will come to power, one way or another.   But have no illusions about this.  It will be treated similarly to lebanon.  Hezbollah is effectively ruling in Lebanon!  And the US govt still considers them an ally, and Israel is still afraid to do anything to them or drop bombs on them.    The paralysis of the israeli regime will continue until there is regime change (of the ISRAELI regime), even if hitler himself yemach shemo was cloned and put in charge of every middle eastern country around Israel.
