Assad asks BRICS ‘to intervene’ in Syria crisis – aide:

How the economically and politically poor BRICS countries can stop the Syrian war.

Syria: US would not object to arming rebels:

The United States would not object to Britain and France arming Syrian rebel groups now fighting to topple the regime of Bashar al-Assad, secretary of state John Kerry said.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9938671/Syria-US-would-not-object-to-arming-rebels.html

Definitely a positive move in right direction, especially in the view of Assad getting help from Hezbollah and Iran.

Syria: regime accuses rebels of killing 25 in chemical weapons attack:

Russia and America have been drawn into a dispute between the Syrian regime and rebel fighters over reports that chemical weapons were used in an attack on an Aleppo suburb that killed up to 25 people.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9940103/Syria-regime-accuses-rebels-of-killing-25-in-chemical-weapons-attack.html

Whether the Syrian Muslamic Government or the muslamic peoples socialist democratic jihadi revolutionaries have used the chemical weapons, but it is a breakthrough. It has changed the correlations of the muslamic infighting forces. This as a whole can bring a qualitative change in the overall scenario of the war.

Washington: The US Tuesday said that it has no information about Syrian rebels using chemical weapons as claimed by President Bashar Assad's regime and warned that the any use of such arms is "unacceptable".

Syria chemical weapons: time to act demands US official:

America's failure to act on the use of chemical weapons in Syria would amount to a stain on the country's credibility, a leading politician declared.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9943095/Syria-chemical-weapons-time-to-act-demands-US-official.html

Yes, whosoever have done it, the west should proceed it as per its own plan.

US officials: 'high probability' that Syria regime used chemical weapons :

Syria is highly likely to have conducted an attack with chemical weapons against its own people as the regime pushes the country into dark days, leading US politicians have said following an incident in which at least 25 people died.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9942110/US-officials-high-probability-that-Syria-regime-used-chemical-weapons.html

Hmmmm... if the probability is so strong then why no further action.

Syria: Britain calls for UN inquiry into 'multiple' chemical attacks:

Britain has indicated there has been multiple attacks using chemical weapons in Syria's civil war as Western states push for a UN inquiry into the the possible deployment of the regime's arsenal of weapons of mass destruction.

Bashar al-Assad vows to 'cleanse' Syria of extremism:

Bashar al-Assad vowed to "cleanse" Syria of extremism, in the wake of a suicide bomber which killed dozens including a key pro-regime Sunni cleric.

Some 49 people were killed, including Mohamed Saeed al-Bouti, the most prominent Sunni Muslim cleric to back the Syrian president's Alawite minority-dominated regime against a Sunni-led uprising. They were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up after entering the central Damascus mosque.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9949199/Bashar-al-Assad-vows-to-cleanse-Syria-of-extremism.html

Vow! They are rightly on their own path of infighting among the muslamic jihadi terrorism.

Syria chemical weapons: finger pointed at jihadists:

A Syrian Army source gives the first account of what is believed to have been a chemical attack - and it could mean that one of the West's biggest fears is about to come true.

Now the information is being spread that CL17 is normal chlorine for swimming pools or industrial purposes and it is rated as Level 2 under the chemical weapons convention, which means it is dual purpose - it can be used as a weapon as well as for industrial or domestic purposes. Level 1 agents are chemicals whose sole use is as weapons, such as the nerve agents sarin or tabun.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9950036/Syria-chemical-weapons-finger-pointed-at-jihadists.html

Obviously at least there had to be some people who have sympathies towards the muslamic jihadi terrorists.

Syrian Cleric Supported Blowing Up American and Israeli Targets:

A Syrian Sunni cleric who was killed last week in a suicide bomb attack on a central Damascus mosque had in the past expressed support for Hizbullah and advocated for bombing American and Israeli targets around the world.

The cleric, Mohamed al-Bouti, was one of 42 people who were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque last Thursday. Bouti was the most senior pro-regime Sunni cleric in Syria.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) posted to YouTube two clips in which Bouti is seen supporting terrorists.

Syria regime accused of new chemical attack:

Syrian opposition campaigners said that forces loyal to the regime of President Bashar al-Assad had fired what they said were chemical weapons at rebels surrounding an army base in the town of Adra on the outskirts of Damascus.

"Doctors are describing the chemical weapon used as phosphorus that hits the nervous system and causes imbalance and loss of consciousness," said Mohammad al-Doumani, an activist in the nearby town of Douma, where the wounded were transported.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9951646/Syria-regime-accused-of-new-chemical-attack.html

They forgot to mention whether the phosphorus falls within level 1 or level 2 of the chemical attack.

Syria: 'up to 100' British Muslims fighting in war:

Up to 100 British Muslims are fighting in Syria’s civil war amid fears some could return home to carry out terrorist attacks, senior intelligence chiefs disclosed yesterday.

Kofi Annan claims it is too late for outside intervention in Syria:

Syria's civil war cannot be resolved by outside meddling as the regime and the rebels are committed to the fight for control of the divided state, Kofi Annan, the former UN secretary general has said.

Mr Annan said he believed that Western powers had left it too late to intervene effectively in the situation.

"I don't see a military intervention in Syria. We left it too late. I'm not sure it would not do more harm," he told the Graduate Institute in Geneva on Tuesday night.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9956824/Kofi-Annan-claims-it-is-too-late-for-outside-intervention-in-Syria.html

What is the problem if it further converts in to a long drawn protracted war.

Even if it is true, it is not being publicized. So there may be some obfuscation.

The civil war raging in Syria is sparking shortages and fury in Damascus's Old City.

Syrian opposition: Britain is best hope for the rebellion:

A senior Syrian opposition figure has attacked the United States for its inaction against Bashar al-Assad’s regime, saying that Britain and France were now the best hope for salvaging the rebellion.

The Syrian jihadi AQ muslamic opposition is also hanging now by rope in the neck until and unless the Britain and France come to their rescue, before it is too late.

Syria suffers 'deadliest month':

Syria has suffered its deadliest month so far in the two-year conflict, with more than 6,000 people killed in March, a third of them civilians.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which opposes President Bashar al-Assad but has monitored human rights violations on both sides of a revolt, has documented a total of 62,554 dead in the conflict. Rami Abdelrahman, the head of the group, said the number was probably much higher. "We estimate it is actually around 120,000 people. Many death tolls are more difficult to document so we are not officially including them yet."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/syria/9965741/Syria-suffers-deadliest-month.html

Syria becoming new cradle for foreign extremists, research warns:

Syria is on course to become a more fruitful breeding ground for jihadist fighters than Afghanistan or Iraq, according to new research which found that up to 5,500 foreigners have joined the civil war in less than two years.

Saudi Arabia is backing a push by Syrian opposition rebels to carve out a "liberated" area in southern Syria, opening a key route of attack on Damascus.

DAMASCUS, Syria — A suicide bomber detonated his explosives-packed vehicle in a busy residential and commercial district in central Damascus on Monday, killing at least 15 people and sending a huge cloud of black smoke billowing over the capital's skyline, Syrian state-run media said.
