Daniel Greenfield does not seem overly optimistic, but he recognizes the critical fights happening right now that will continue to have an effect generations from now:

The hero of the right Ted Cruz is willing to argue the case of PA voter fraud before the supreme court.

Good for Newsmax TV for beating Fox in the ratings for the first time.

And good for the state of Texas for putting out a complete lawsuit to get the election redone in battleground states. Go Texas Go!

And in the world we live in, the future of Trump will come down to the arguments that Ted Cruz will make before the supreme court. This comes with this article stating Trump has asked Ted to deliver the arguments, which follows of course Ted saying he would do it. Considering the state of Texas is filing the lawsuit, it is fitting. There are no mathematical formulae in any discipline that applies to political science I have heard of that would have told me 8 years ago that there would be a trial by Ted Cruz to save the election from fraud for Trump. It will be the most historic event in the lives of anyone if Trump wins, mostly because the media lied, which makes me worried for unlikely and scary reasons. It's obvious forces unseen by me are moving behind the curtains in this piece of political theater, but it doesn't make Trump winning this any less critical for the cause of freedom.

17 states backing Texas' lawsuit. We got the American people, we got leaders, we got lawyers, and we got Ted up top ready to take it to the supreme court. I see a certain magic in having Ted Cruz as the president's lawyer instead of having Ted Cruz as president, this is really the critical movement of the presidency, it determines what happens in all conceivable future ones.

Sidney Powell has her thing going as well, and we'll see how her army does, but if ever you needed confidence in the election challenge conundrum, Ted with 18 states behind him is the best you'll get bar some hidden counteraction from Trump.

The supreme court told texas backed by 1/4 of states that they didnt have the standing to go to them. So apparently no one does... It boils down to Sidney Powell. But it's now an uphill battle.

Looks like some good men in Arizona are stepping up the heat with an election integrity case. Considering they just rejected the case of 1/4 of states, gonna be hard to get me completely optimistic, but at least everyone is working on this right now, rejections or not. The more you put it, the more frauding commies you can put in the pen.

Trump says it's not over because they have local cases going. Unless there's something I'm missing, there better be more than that. The supreme court was a major hope dashed, and now we're supposed to be like "yay go local judge"?

I'm calling in the towel from a business perspective and encouraging businesses to scrub any record of a plan to work with Trump, they're going to be hunting us like rabbits. In general, the economies in Eastern Europe look safest. I'll still hold a secret hope that his plans play out but at this point no one should gamble their livelihood on it, time to say yay for leftist causes and redirect virtually all R&D funds to political lobbyists to bribe politicians. Those businesses that bribe the right politicians survive socialism, creating good products is just liable to cause jealousy and make someone bribe politicians against you.

Canada was once the nation that invented the f-15 fighter jet and created new innovations daily. Their right fell apart, in an eerily similar situation to this one, and the left controlled everything and innovation was on a steady slump until Harper reunited it, and now with Trudeau multiplied by his lockdown its back to nothing. To do good in Canada, bribe, and in Montreal also pay mobsters. I'm sure there's a few project managers willing to share their office's info on who to bribe and how depending on the crisis or situation.

The right in America is so faggy they won't even say the word faggy and aren't going to go fight commies. The irony is those blue haired hippies have more of a fighting spirit than them. They've been kicking and swearing at their moms since they could, and so they have no chance against a disciplined force, but morons that think you should be nice to evil people that are weak aren't going to fight back against them, they aren't going to do crap to defend businesses that come out as right wing, you can place absolutely no confidence in the right in America doing the right thing if it requires more than the slightest effort.

Someone fasttrack Kyle Rittenhouse's trial too before Biden gets in, or get Trump to pardon, they want to murder the poor kid.

This is an example of a local suit, and you feel really hopeful when you read it because the facts are with him, but fear is what motivates these judges, fear of commies, not what is right. Adjust your strategy to be better than theirs, including terror to whoever scared them in the first place.

Having taken a serious look at the Sniffy transition team, one other fact for businesses is critical: expect unfettered Chinese access to American patents, and the same surrender and treason Obama did when the Chinese were going around hacking everyone in America. It goes without saying that innovations you can't enter the market in with more control than the zipper company should be entirely withheld from the market, and stored on a computer encased in lead with no internet access. We also need to look for a new safe harbor from China, but even the places that don't like them in Eastern Europe are almost completely likely to cave with slight pressure, and they function as little more than a hideout. I'd rather be broke than do it, but you can also go full wall street and learn Mandarin and how to sell out better. Works for them, but in the long road it entirely defeats the purpose if what you make this month sinks you in the next.

Well after seeing court cases on six billion levels of government and the legal system, I realize that the American legal and political system isn't made to be easily understood by the masses at all. Hate directed at the government can be passed about any which way. And also the government is not working as it was designed to work. If this is really the Yehu I said it might be, and you include the unchecked powers of the different levels of government in it, then it's bigger than big. At this point I can't call it an uphill or any battle since I clearly am not completely informed on the battlefield or the armies fight on it, but either Trump loses or it's the biggest thing times the biggest thing to happen in legal and political history. Hard to trust anyone in a process you don't understand.

In the nerd chick flick Battlestar Gallactica, there's a part where they're all suspicious of each other because they don't know who is a robot that looks like a person. It feels like that right now where one minute the judges are the heros and then they're the swamp and heroes again that they magically pushed the deadline to dec 14, so now we have till dec 14, the magic cat that turned Kamala black before the election sprinkled more fairy dust, or they're up to something good, I hope.

So good news and bad news. The good news is they admitted their voting machines can go on the internet, so there's a trace of whatever they did and even if we don't find it right now, eventually we will either by labor or when technology advances. The bad news is the end, that it comes down to who has better hackers for getting the Dumbminion machines that Obama got from the Venezuelan commies. I have never seen so many juicy evil politicians dangled in front of the American people to chew up, and there would be huge demonstrations on the right over it but covid, so there still are but less.

Kay so before the explanation for why Sniffy wasn't the Dementia Elect was that there were legal challenges, and now the explanation is that the electors in the little squares that say there was voter fraud are voting for Trump anyways even though the fraud vote says 138% of the population disagree. So they have to do legal dances to deal with that.

Explainer: Dueling Electors and the Upcoming Joint Session of Congress
By Zachary Stieber
December 17, 2020 Updated: December 17, 2020
biggersmaller Print

Presidential candidates in the United States win elections by winning the most electoral votes.

The Electoral College system apportions a certain number of votes to each state. When voters in a state vote for a party’s candidate, they’re actually casting a vote for that party’s slate of electors, or people chosen to cast electoral votes.

Those electoral votes are counted by Congress. If a candidate gets 270 or more, they win the presidency.
Dueling Electors

In seven states on Dec. 14, a slate of Democratic electors chose Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Republican electors, even though Biden was certified as the winner in the states, also cast votes for President Donald Trump.

The phenomenon created seven sets of so-called dueling electors, or alternate slates. Both groups are sending certificates of ascertainment to Congress, which is slated to convene in a joint session on Jan. 6, 2021, to count electoral votes.

Dueling electors are highly unusual, but they have happened in U.S. history. The last time was in the 1960 election, when the governor of Hawaii certified electors for Republican Richard Nixon. Democratic electors cast their votes for Democrat John F. Kennedy.

A subsequent recount determined Kennedy actually won the state, and he was declared the winner in the joint session in 1961.

John Eastman, professor of law at the Chapman University School of Law, pointed to the Kennedy-Nixon scenario when talking about the seven dueling electors this time around.

“We have historical precedent here, and in each of these states, there is pending litigation challenging the results of the election. If that litigation proved successful, then the Trump electors, having met and voted, would be able to have those votes certified and be the ones properly counted in the joint session of Congress on January 6,” he told NTD.
Epoch Times Photo

Gary Gregg, director of the McConnell Center, told The Epoch Times that short of “actual evidence of fraud” that would move Congress to certify the alternate set of electors, the ones certified by the state’s governors—all for Biden, in this case—will be the ones counted.

The electoral votes have been “officially counted” and the votes have been sent on, he said. “There’s nothing to be done, until it gets to Congress,” he said.

“It’s obviously a very, very long shot,” added Robert Hardaway, professor at the Sturm College of Law, because “all the challenges have not been successful by both Trump and his supporters.”

“But that’s the reason for it,” he told The Epoch Times. “If later it’s determined the Republican slate should have been elected, they’ll have the vote already in place.”

In three of the seven states in question—Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—Republicans currently control the state legislatures while Democrats hold the governor’s mansions. In New Mexico and Nevada, Democrats control both. In Georgia and Arizona, Republicans control both.

Republicans have not been able to gain enough support to get the dueling electors certified by the top election official—usually the secretary of state—nor did the state legislatures exercise their constitutional right to take back the power to choose which candidate to give the electoral votes to.

According to the Congressional Research Service, when dueling slates are received, members of Congress in the joint session consider the list when its from a different state authority than the certified list, and conduct a vote. Acceptance of either slate would then require a concurrent agreement in both the House and the Senate.

If there isn’t a conflict in terms of state authority, the one determined to be appointed pursuant to the state’s election laws is counted. If there is no determination by a state authority of which slate was lawfully appointed, the two chambers agree concurrently to accept the votes of one set, or decide not to accept either set. If the two chambers don’t agree, the electors certified by the governor shall be counted.

Joint Session

After electors cast their votes this week, attention turned to the upcoming joint session, which takes place just three days after newly elected members of Congress are sworn in.

At least four people who will be in the House—Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) and Rep.-elects Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Barry Moore (R-Ala.), and Bob Good (R-Va.)—have committed to filing objections during the session.

Objections must be made in writing by at least one representative and one senator. No senators have committed to objecting.

Challenges were made by Democrats in 2016 but failed because no senators supported them. In 2004, Rep. Stephanie Tubb Jones (D-Ohio) and Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) objected to votes from Ohio, but both chambers voted the objection down.

The basis for an objection appears to be that the electoral vote or votes were not “regularly given” by an electors, and/or that the elector was not “lawfully certified,” based on state election laws, according to the Congressional Research Service.

If an objection meets the requirements, the joint session is suspended, and each chamber withdraws to meet and debate the objection and choose whether to vote to uphold it. Unless both chambers vote in the majority for the objection, it fails. If it’s approved, it nullifies the state’s electoral votes, or could lead to the alternate slate being accepted.

Some experts see an objection succeeding as practically impossible.

“It’s so far out of the realm of possibility,” Gregg said. “The chance of getting a senator to agree, a Republican senator to agree, is a difficulty. Then to get the Senate and the House to agree? At this point … this is not going to happen.”

“Both chambers will not approve objections,” Alan Dershowitz, a constitutional law scholar, told NTD Television via email.

Others aren’t so sure.

“I think when you get to the joint session of Congress, there’s going to be a fight about which of the slates of electors need to be counted based on the evidence and the statutory violations that are presented at the time,” Eastman said.

As of the current certified vote count, Biden has 304 electoral votes to Trump’s 232. The Epoch Times is not calling the race at this time.

In 1877, a joint session of Congress met to count electoral votes and faced dueling electors from multiple states where vote tallies were controversial. The Democrat-controlled House and the Republican-controlled Senate eventually came to a compromise, creating a commission that included House members, senators, and Supreme Court justices.

The commission met for weeks before deciding on March 2 to award contested electoral votes to Rutherford Hayes, a Republican, handing him the election.

Kevin Hogan and Paul Greaney of NTD contributed to this report.
