Insidious Intifada Attacks in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria

Israeli security forces were busy Thursday with Arab terrorists in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

[Jewish Press] – Israeli motorists continue to drive with extra caution as hostile Arab terrorists target them and their vehicles in daily stoning, firebombings and even fireworks attacks.

The insidious intifada attacks are beginning to escalate and occasionally spike — such as that which resulted in the Har Nof synagogue massacre — and sometimes the terrorists are instead armed with knifes, hatchets, axes or guns.

On Thursday morning, drivers passing the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat were forced to dodge attacks by Arabs hurling rocks at their vehicles.

At least four didn’t make it, and their vehicles were damaged in the attacks.

A resident of the nearby neighborhood of Beit Hanina was arrested by security forces shortly after the fourth vehicle was attacked and damaged.

Further south, clashes were reported Thursday afternoon between Arab youths and IDF soldiers in Beit Ummar. The [so called] “Palestinian Authority” town is situated along Highway 60 between Hebron and Gush Etzion. There were no reports of injuries or property damage.

Border Guard police also prevented a terror attack in Jerusalem late in the day by neutralizing a masked [Muslim] Arab at the Qalandiya checkpoint. The would-be terrorist, who was carrying a knife, had tried to infiltrate north of the capital.

In the early evening hours, Arabs in northern Jerusalem hurled rocks at a Light Rail train as it passed through the Shuafat neighborhood. Passengers were traumatized but no physical injuries were reported. Israel Police launched a search for the attackers.

By full nightfall, [Arab Muslim] youths and young adults were waving Hamas flags and shooting fireworks at Israeli Border Guard police in Jerusalem’s Shiloach (Silwan) neighborhood.  One of the rioters was arrested and held for further questioning.
