And the Dad is okay with it. Welcome to the new Sodom and Gomorrah.

The Western world is currently in the throes of trans-mania, and the following report proves it’s only going to get worse.

A mother-son-turned-father-daughter duo was recently featured on Australia’s 60 Minutes news program to discuss their respective transitions. The pair has made the media rounds before as they’ve been documenting their “journey” on Instagram.

“Corey Maison, 15, first told her parents she identified as a girl four years ago, but it was not until last year she learned that her mother also struggled with her gender identity,” reports the NY Post 

“I wanted to make my parents proud of who I am, but I thought that they would not like me,” Corey told the Australian news program. The Post provides a summary of the interview:

Eric Maison, who used to go by Erica, said that he was emboldened by his daughter’s decision. He wrestled with different emotions while deciding whether to transition.

“The first feeling was relief, the second was terror,” he said. “Fear for what my future would hold, fear for how my family and children would, fear for what the rest of my life was going to look like.”

Eric Maison has since undergone a double mastectomy. He said he plans to stay together with his husband, Les, who supports his transition.

“I fell in love with the person. She was beautiful as a woman, but equally beautiful on the inside,” Les Maison said. “As long as Eric is happy with the appearance, Eric will be happy with what’s in her brain – or his brain.”

The recently-transitioned dad of five said he regrets not coming to terms with his gender identity earlier.

“The only regret I have is not being educated sooner about what transgenderism was, so I could do it sooner,” Eric Maison said.

Of course he does. He’s a good liberal who would never question the fact that both his wife and son — and their history together as a family — are gone with the wind. He’s equally unfazed by the fact that his spouse and child are currently undergoing major medical intervention, the long term health effects of which have yet to be documented. And what studies do exist on the transgender community reveal a marked increase in suicidal tendencies, depression and other data that don’t jibe with the rosy image the movement attempts to portray.

When it comes to gaining a husband though, all Les can say is that he fell in love with Eric’s brain. Duh.

“I fell in love with the person,” he said.

“She was beautiful as a woman, but equally beautiful on the inside. As long as Eric is happy with the appearance, Eric will be happy with what’s in her brain – or his brain.”

All joking aside, this is a classic example of how the Left is winning the culture war, by routinely attempting to normalize that which is completely abnormal. While there is nothing wrong with being a non-conformist, that’s not what this is about for progressives. Rather, they seek to alter mainstream society’s perception of reality to conform with that of outliers, many (not all) of whom grapple with serious personal instability.

If an adult chooses to live his or her or “xir” life as a specific gender, or non-gender, then so be it, but when a child does it with the blessing of a parent, a serious red flag should immediately go up. Worse, when the parent of that child proves to be equally conflicted about his/her gender, scrutiny should be the default response, not celebration.

This is child abuse. No child can make this type of decision. They aren’t even legally allowed to purchase beer.
