Ted Cruz After GOP Obamacare Repeal Fail: ‘No Party Can Remain in Power by Lying’
After three establishment RINO (Republicans In Name Only) squishes, John McCain (AZ), Lisa Murkowski (AK), and Susan Collins voted against even a fake, so-called “skinny” repeal of Obamacare late Thursday night, keeping all of the disastrous anti-American legislation in place, Texas Senator Ted Cruz , a constitutional conservative who has fought to repeal Obamacare perhaps more than any other Republican, said that “No party can remain in power by lying to the American people,” referring to all Republican’s seven-year long promise to repeal Obamacare.
Senator Cruz articulated that while Democrats will “crow exultantly,” over their “total victory” in keeping “a collapsing and failing law” completely in place, the real losers in keeping the 2,700-page behemoth that has grown to over 20,000 pages of regulations, are the every day Americans who are victims of Obamacare:
“The losers tonight are the millions of Americans that have been hurt under Obamacare — the millions of Americans who’ve lost their jobs, who have been forced into part-time work, forced to work 28-29 hours a week.
Millions of Americans have had their health insurance canceled, who’ve lost their doctors, who’ve seen their premiums skyrocket. The six and a half million Americans each year who are fined by the IRS because they don’t make enough money to afford health insurance. And so not only do they not get health insurance but they get a fine from the IRS, and 80% of them are earning $50,000 a year or less. Nearly half are earning $25,000 a year or less.
It’s the single moms, it’s the truck drivers, it’s the steel workers, it’s the working men and women who were left behind tonight.”
Sen. Cruz predicted that every Republican — not just those who voted against repeal (even more RINOs voted against a cleaner, fuller repeal of Obamacare previously) would hear the wrath from voters when they return to their home states in the upcoming recess.
“It’s not just gonna be the senators who voted ‘no,’ Cruz explained. “The senators who voted ‘yes’ are gonna be asked, ‘Why did you lie to me?’ because the voters are not going to distinguish. They’re gonna say, ‘You guys promised to do this and you failed,’” he predicted.
Ted Cruz further predicted that after senators hear the “anger and frustration of the American people” for not repealing Obamacare, they will come back after “all the victory laps by the Democrats, after all the media exultations,” that Republicans would come back and “honor our promise” to repeal Obamacare.

So why did Cruz lie on his campaign. He claimed he wanted to abolish the IRS yet he wanted to double the earned income credit. How can you do both of these at the same time and Cruz knows that the IRS would never be abolished because he would never get enough votes but he may have been able to get enough votes to increase the earned income credit.
Cruz didn’t lie, but Trump sure did! And now because of Trump, half of his administration is from Goldman Sachs.
