The Laugh’s on Europe and the US: Muslim Arab Gulf States Refuse Syrian “Refugees”
Let them go somewhere “cheap.”
As usual, the laugh is on us. While the West clamors to take alleged “refugees” despite that they cannot be properly vetted, France is wondering why the wealthy Gulf States are refusing to accept their own share of Syrian refugees and provide them safe harbor.
French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has called on the Gulf states to accept more refugees fleeing Syria, saying that a “humanitarian disaster” could erupt in the Balkans if Europe does not control its borders.
“Every country must play its part; I’m thinking particularly of the Gulf states,” the prime minister said during a discussion with residents of Evry on the outskirts of Paris, focusing on the response to the attacks which rocked the capital two weeks ago.
It could be, Valls, that the Gulf States are just far wiser that the West — particularly because these are people and culture with which they are intimately familiar.
Indeed, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and other Gulf states have thus far resolved to keep their borders closed and let Europe do the dirty work. And given how enthusiastic the West has been to house these so-called refugees, who could blame them? Even Britain has donated more in relief funds than all the wealthy Gulf States combined have done.
Perhaps in an attempt to persuade with the Gulf States to accept refugees, the French prime minister is still refusing to admit there is a connection between “legitimate” refugees and terrorism.
At this point more than 800,000 refugees have landed in Europe and hundreds of thousands more are en route. Some Western countries, like Hungary, are taking a firmer stand than their other European compatriots, erecting razor wire fence and barring migrants entry outright.
But none are more candid than the Gulf States. Just recently Kuwaiti official Fahad al-Shalami said that the Gulf States are quite simply, “too valuable to accept any refugees.”
“Our countries are only fit for workers.”
The real gem? Shalami then essentially explained why the “riff raff” should go where they’ll be with their own kind.
“Kuwait is too expensive for them anyway, as opposed to Lebanon and Turkey, which are cheap,” he said. “They are better suited for Syrian refugees.”
If only the rest of the world were so honest.
