What? Phony Republicans Help Approve Partial Birth Abortion Supporter Loretta Lynch As Attorney General!
…Pro-life Republicans have just helped approve Loretta Lynch to potentially replace Eric Holder as Attorney General despite her past of supporting partial birth abortion.
Approved by a vote of 12-8, Lynch coasted past the Senate Judiciary Committee with the help of three Republicans: Sens. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah), Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.); all of whom have past described themselves as pro-life.
Last month, Lynch testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that she had supported conglomerate Planned Parenthood’s efforts to have the Supreme Court overturn bans on partial-birth abortion. Lynch reportedly supported overturning the bans because “they were unconstitutionally vague and threaten the integrity of the criminal justice system.”
The Supreme Court later determined the federal Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act was constitutional in the case known as Gonzales v. Carhart. LifeNews reports the decision has stopped over 15,000 abortions.
Lynch will face full confirmation in the Republican-controlled Senate. Should she be approved, she would become the second woman and second African-American to serve as Attorney General.
