Will you buy a gun before November elections?
« on: October 02, 2008, 02:40:47 PM »
So with November elections coming up, how many folks here will be buying guns?

I will be buying a Czech VZ-58 in 7.62 x 39 in the next few days as the elections come closer. More importantly, I will be buying a LOT of ammo as it's going to be in short supply. I am taking no chances.

After my income taxes, I hope to buy another AK47 of some sort and maybe a H&K 91 .308 rifle.

I was considering trying to get one of those "Street sweepers" but I dunno that I could afford it right now, nor if they can even be found or legally bought!

They make legal clones of it, performs the same. The original street sweeper is made in South Africa. I think their pretty cheap too, might want to check out gunbroker.com

The Striker is difficult to procure in the United States of America as it has been labelled as a destructive device under the National Firearms Act with no sporting purpose by the U.S. Justice Department's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). [1]

The Government of Canada has classified the Striker, and all its variants and modified versions, as a "Prohibited Weapon," and therefore, it is illegal to procure or possess under almost any circumstances. [2]

Found one for 1600 dollars, it's a NFA item so 250 dollar tax stamp if you want it.

Obama made a speech to a live crowd in Ohio that he was going to ban AK47's and the crowd applauded. We all know when he says AK47's, he means any firearm that resembles a military weapon. I urge everyone to obtain one legally in the event elections do not fair well. Once they are banned, we will not be getting them back just like Australia, UK, and the other countries that have taken away peoples rights.

True but you can never have too many, I urge that members here join the JPFO or the NRA, the NRA is not perfect but they do have a lot of influence and the money goes to help campaign for Mccain, a lot of those NRA ad's are hurting Obama and he's trying to get them banned.

One thing I urge people to stock up most is Ammo, a gun is just the instrument that fires the projectile (used to kill the bad guy), without ammo, they are useless paperweights collecting dust.

Ammo is going up a lot, even surplus stuff. Luckily, the soviet block is getting rid of all it's 7.62 x 39 rifles and going to new calibers, so a lot of this stuff is coming on to the market pretty cheap.

I wish more people would take this right a bit more serious.

I have two large (wooden handle) pistols and a smaller black one.
I got them way before all the gun grabbing laws took effect.
Now you need permits and permits are almost impossible to get.

You can still drive 200 miles to PA to get one.
That's where I get bullets.
Of course, I live in the crowded cities, so there's really nothing to shoot.

It looks like this one:

I can't find the exact model. It's very warned from years of cold wet storage.

the other two I got from a garage sale.
One does not work.
The other one, very old, looks like:

of course, now it looks like this:
