Islamic State feeds starving mother her own 3-year-old son
First came the gunning down of unarmed civilians. Then the videotaped purposefully slow beheadings of Western captives. Just when no one thought the ISIS Islamic jihadists couldn’t sink to any lower depths of depravity, they burned to death a caged Jordanian pilot for all the world to see.
While many thought the terrorists couldn’t be any more barbaric than they already have, they proved the world wrong. As reported by Stoyan Zaimov of the Washington, DC-based Christian Post on Oct. 9, 2015, a captive Yazidi mother was separated from her two children, aged 3 and 5. But it doesn’t end there.
According to Vian Dakhil, one of the two Yazidi members of the Iraqi parliament, after two days of being starved, the woman was finally given a portion of rice and meat. Only after completing her meager meal was the mother told by her ISIS captors that the meat was actually the flesh of her youngest child.
Reportedly, another Yazidi mother was forced to witness her own 9-year-old daughter being raped to death by ISIS members. The parliamentarian also added that as many as 2,200 Yazidi women and girls have been kidnapped by ISIS only to find themselves on the auction block as sex slaves. Dakhil also stated there are at least 420,000 Yazidis are living in refugee camps, “which includes thousands of orphans who have no home.”
With the Yazidi religion being an ancient mixture of tribal folk beliefs, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the Yazidis share their brutal persecution with Iraq‘s also ancient Christian minority. While both the Yazidis and Christians have been sheltered and protected by the Kurdish Peshmerga Militia, leaders such as Dakhil have roundly condemned Barack Obama for seemingly making a concerted effort to keep aid from reaching them.
Fox News reported on July 2, 2015, that numerous Arab nations have complained that plans to convince the Obama Administration to directly arm the Kurds have fallen on deaf ears. Speaking on grounds of anonymity, a senior Arab official stated, “If the Americans and the West are not prepared to do anything serious about defeating ISIL, then we will have to find new ways of dealing with the threat. With ISIL making ground all the time we simply cannot afford to wait for Washington to wake up to the enormity of the threat we face.”
As CNN reported on Oct. 6, 2015, hundreds of captive girls have committed suicide rather than face a life of sexual slavery at the hands of ISIS. A Yazidi herself and an ex-member of the Iraqi parliament Ameena Saeed Hasan stated, “I have some pictures of the girls who have committed suicide … when they lose hope for rescue and when ISIS many times sell them and rape them.”
Giving weapons to Kurdish muslims is also a bad idea.
