The environmentalists of the day praised the Nazis for enforcing their beliefs. “The similarities to modern environmentalism are unmistakable,” Stu said. For example, one Nazi project was a sustainable forestry program with the motto “eternal forest and eternal nation.” Organic food was even tied to “social justice issues” in Nazi propaganda.
