The PLO is Funding Terrorists and ’Families of Martyrs’ with U.S. Tax Dollars
Senate hopes to stop this through Taylor Force Act, but no Dems support it.
Lesser-informed Americans might be shocked to find out that their tax dollars fund [so-called] “Palestinian” terrorists, though that has been going on for years. But The Times of Israel just published exactly how much the PLO is doling out to its paid murderers.
“The Palestinian Authority’s 2017 budget for payments to inmates in Israeli prisons and so-called ‘families of martyrs’ is equal in sum to about half of the foreign aid for budget support that Ramallah expects to receive this year,” the report states.
Convicted terrorists in prison will receive a total of $153.4 million and the so-called martyrs’ families will receive $190.8 million. The report adds, “The families are defined as those with members who were ‘killed or wounded in the struggle against Zionism,’ including those killed while committing attacks against Israelis, or in any other context by an Israeli.”
So, that’s over $344 million being paid to terrorists and their families. Now get this: In 2016, the U.S. sent Palestine $486 million — plenty to cover the terrorist payments. However, the PA insists only $75 million of that amount was used for its “budget.”
It’s no wonder why Palestinians continue to attack Jews in Israel. Besides being commanded to by their holy book, they are also monetarily incentivized to do so.
