Obama: Some Folks in New Israeli Government Don’t Want “Two-State [Final] Solution”
There is no such thing as Palestine or a Palestinian. It is a propaganda war intended to destroy the Jews.
In an interview with al-Arabiya, President Obama had this to say about peace prospects between Israel & The Palestinian Authority:
I continue to believe a two-state solution is absolutely vital for not only peace between Israeli & Palestinians, but for the long-term security of Israel as a democratic and Jewish state. I know that a government has been found that contains some folks who don’t necessarily believe in that premise, but that continues to be my premise.
I have two observations.
First, the idea that a few Israeli Knesset members are the only thing standing between a final status agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority is total rubbish. The Palestinians and their Arab ancestors have been saying no since rejecting the terms of the 1947 Partition Plan. Indeed, it was the Palestinian Authority, not Israel, which rejected John Kerry’s peace framework last year. Since when have the Palestinians believed in a two state solution? But since when has President Obama let facts get in the way of the sound of his voice?
Second, as grating as Obama’s voice is, he made a point of stating that a two-state solution was “my premise.” Does this premise mean undermining good faith negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority? Does this premise extend to supporting the Palestinian Authority’s lobbying efforts to the UN for a unilateral declaration of independence? Is this the logical conclusion of President Obama’s “reassessment” of U.S.-Israeli relations? If this is the case we will know before January 20, 2017.
