Actually it is a mockery of the real Menorah which is 3 on each side not 4. It is an exile style holiday that was created later on as the book Macabees doesn’t mention this miracle and the Rabbis didn’t even make the book of Macabees part of the Tanach because they were too controversial and in the end created a dictatorship in which they were both the political leaders and the leaders in the Temple a complete violation of the torah. If this miracle happened though of course it would be mentioned in the book of Macabees. Part of Chanukah sadly is to compete with Christmas. The other question why would the Temple be lit in December as well. Some people don’t want to recognize that Judaism like other religions has adopted some non-Torah pagan ideas and try to dress them up as real torah but they aren’t.
