West Bank turned into thieves' heaven, says Yesha Council

Council's human rights group issues report detailing Palestinian attacks on Jewish farmers; claims IDF, police discriminate in favor of Arab perpetrators

Efrat Weiss Published:  11.20.07, 08:31 / Israel News

The Yesha Council's human rights organization on Tuesday published a report detailing the ways Palestinians and left-wing activists attack and conspire against the Jewish farmers in the West Bank.

According to the report, these incidents cause hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damages and emotional anguish beyond compensation.

"Over the past year we have seen an escalation in the nationalist actions against the Jewish farmers in Judea and Samaria… the law enforcement forces do nothing to deal with this situation and the gap between the ways they deal with attacks on Jews versus attacks on Arabs is widening by the day," said the report.

Among the cases stated on the report is that of a family in Bat-Ain, who had 223 acres of grazing land burnt down; and another of a family in Pnei-Kedem, whose 500 olive trees were uprooted.

According to the organization, when Arab framers complain of harassment, the head of the IDF Central Command and the local police forces issue restraining orders or arrest warrants against Jewish suspects almost immediately, but when a Jewish farmer is the one being harassed, no preemptive or restraining measures are taken against the Arab perpetrators.

The police, adds the report, make in a point not to enter the Arab villages in the West Bank, making them a virtual "paradise for thieves".

The Arabs villagers, it said, know that once farm equipment stolen from the Jewish farms is within village limits, its rightful owner is unlikely to ever see it again.

The report goes on to fault not only the military and police forces, but both local and international left-wing organizations, which use the mass rallies they hold in the area as an excuse to unscrupulously damage Jewish farm lands.

It is high time the law enforcement forces treat the Palestinians and left-wing activists as they do the Jewish farmers and right-wing activists, concludes the report.

"The IDF, Judea and Samaria police and all other law enforcement forces work tirelessly to maintain a visible presence in conflict areas, in order to keep the order," said the Judea and Samaria District Police in response.

"The police action against those breaking the law is taken indiscriminately and applied equally to both Palestinians and Israelis," added the statement.

Have the farmers no dogs? In Germany every farm has a big dog.

I want to buy me this type of dog in the near future:

Look this is a nice picture:

Perhaps this is a useful  dog for the farmers in Judea and Samaria too.

I think you are right with defending your own ground even with a rifle or gun. The muzzies and other evil people think, they can do whatever they want to us and they will get away with their crimes.

But we have to fight back.

How much food need this greater shephard? It is very expensive?

I have only a small garden now, so I can't house it. In ca. three years I will move. Then I will buy a dog.

P.S.:
My uncle has a shephard like yours. :)

You don't really need a dog to protect your farm, all you need is a really good fully automatic, assault rifle.

But when the muzzies and leftists sneak in the night to your olive-trees and grapevines?

The dog hears a lot of better, than a human, even when the dog is sleeping.

When you don't notice the evil creatures, you are unable to fight them. :)

A few things:

1: I live in California and we have the worst gun-control laws in the nation. Just a magazine holding over ten rounds is legally defined as an "assault weapon".

2: I understand Israeli gun-control laws, unless you are in active service, are rather similar.

3: I don't know what Israeli self-defense laws are, and although I would encourage every Jew to defend himself, would not be surprised if the courts will file murder charges against Jews defending their lives from Arab murderers. In fact, it has happened already, many times.

4: Average Israelis in the cities (i.e. Israel excluding East Jerusalem and the territories/hilltops)very much do agree with both these insane gun-control laws and the systematic bias in favor of Arabs in general. They think that (a) gun control will keep them safe and (b) that showing legal deference to Arabs will win them and the Arab Nazi nations they come from over eventually. That's the self-hating Jewish mentality for you--make yourself a doormat enough, and people will love you.  ::)

One of the thing Rabbi Kahane (zt"l) did that Chaim and JTF don't do enough is morally challenge the Jewish nation. Like the Biblical prophets, the sainted Rav pierced the consciences of complacent, secular Jews (as in his book Uncomfortable Questions For Comfortable Jews). The Biblical prophets and sages of the Tanach always called the Israelite nation to repentance for their moral turpitude, and I feel JTF needs to start doing the same.

All sadly true.

I could understand if we were talking unproven theories, but history should have woken secular Jews (and goy liberals) up by now.

Thanks for sticking up for me, Newman. I know we have had our religious differences, but it means a lot to see you back up one of my big posts like this. I see too many of our brothers and sisters denying the real problem here. Israel will be saved from a holocaust when she is brought to repentance. That is what HaRav Kahane always tried to do.

Self-hatred and national suicide are just symptoms of the same spiritual illness that infects most Israelis. Other manifestations are Israel's high abortion and divorce rates and the like.

They're suffering the same sort of problems we do in the west.

*self-hate

* false guilt

* whites-as-cancer/ our culture's no good baloney

* atheism

* marxism

* amorality

The history and causes of these problems may be different for Jew and gentile but they are the same problems.

An orthodox zionist has a similar world view to a conservative US christian. A leftist self-hating Jew has a similar one to a US liberal. Both of our peoples are in internal cultural wars with themselves as well as two external ones with iSSlam and globalism. A war on THREE fronts!

I think the problem in Israel is worse than in America.

Americans are selfish, base, uneducated (we are the least informed on current events anywhere of any modern nation) folks by and large who only care about fast food and big-screen TVs, but I don't think we are deliberate self-haters.

We were all righteously pissed on 9/11 and I do really think most of us would have supported nuking the Arabs when it happened.

Israelis are also selfish and materialistic, but are also very educated and culturally-conscious (in the leftist, Bolshevik way) like Europeans are. Israelis really believe that the nation's problems are their fault and that they have wronged the Arab Nazis.

I disagree.

Israel's institutions are less democratic and the left have a voice disproportionate to their numbers.  There is NO Foxnews, G Gordon Liddy or Ann Coulter in Israel's media. The left are not the percentage of Israeli society that the media would suggest they are. The right-wing religious are growing as a demographic. Religious officers will be a majority in the army in a couple of years.

I've far more hope for Israel than I do europe.
