I think that the foundation of nazism where the $$ that industrial barons gave hitler.
The rest that explaines his rise are the treaty of Versailles, the European hate against Jews, and the need to revenge WWI, and the pro-working class socialist policies.
Regardless of what Darwin teached, this cocktail would have had the same results anyway.
Yes and No. The $$$ given to the Nazi party from the private sector was pennies compared to what was given to the mainstream non-communist parties such as the social democratic party and the conservative party. And many only started giving to the NSDAP because in late 1932, the mainstream parties had become irrelevant, and it appeared that the communists were on the verge of taking over, and although the Nazis didnt really have a coherent economic policy, at least they were anti-communist.
the main reason Hitler got elected, was economics. (People vote with their pocketbook) Under the Wiemar republic, Germany had gone through absurd inflation ( where the mark would 1/2 its value every few hours) and when the great depression came, it hit them hard, and the people just gave up on the system, and the Nazi's promoted themselves as an anti-establishment, anti-Versaille treaty party, and Hitler (like Obama) was a very capable speaker, so all that culminated into his election.
Anti-semitism and Anti-bolshevism is what got them on the map, but it was economics that put them in power.
Of course. the communist and nazi regimes came in power thanks to the starvation of the people, and their so-called solutions:
communists: "kill your elite" (monarchs, nobility, doctors, teachers, industrials, clerics,...) , to take over power and become the elite themselves.
Nazis: "kill all the non-Aryans" (Russians, Bolsheviks, Poles, Communists, socialists, homos, Jews, Gypsies)
for the sake of what? Destroying all nation-states
What is the E.U. going to do with us? Isn't it doing the same? But with the "soft totalitarian" method?
