« on: September 21, 2011, 12:11:21 AM »
I am keen to find out what a general jew heart feels about India ?

Islamization of India does create any concern in Jew minds?

What you people feel about Kashmir ?

etc etc

Please share your views regarding India ..

Hello, and welcome to JTF.  We have several Hindu Indian members here.  Of course we are against the Islamization of India.  As for Kashmir, we believe it rightfully belongs to the Hindus and that it should be returned to India.

What is a "jew heart?"
An oxymoron obviously, as we Jews only care for our jew gold.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you just made an innocent mistake....
"Jew" is the noun, and "jewish" is the adjective. But lowlife nazis like to use "jew this, jew that" as an adjective, verb and a general purpose curse word.

I have had Indian friends who have made similar mistakes like this before.  So don't worry if it is just your English.  You might say something like " what is the common or prevailing Jewish point of view?"  Zelhar gave a good description as to why Jews are sensitive when "Jew" is used as an adjective.  many Anti-Semites use "Jew" as a pejorative.

I have no problem with Hindu Indians. I work with at least 6 on my software development team and I have one Indian friend who I have kept in touch with for almost seven years. My friend Rambabu was very interested in my Jewish faith and we discussed Israel a lot. I remember he said that among his friends Israel is looked upon as very powerful and strong militarily.

The one fall-out I had with my friend Rambabu was when we discussed a restaurant in India which they called 'Hitlers Cross'.... Of course it was a Hindu restaurant which used the Swastika emblem {which many say is originally a Hindu symbol} but named the restaurant 'Hitlers Cross' so it was obvious that it was not the innocent Hindu symbol... My friend did not think it should be offensive but I stopped speaking to him for almost 2 years after that... Any Nazi symbols make me insane with anger.

PS: I found a reference to this restaurant on Wikipedia...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitlers_Cross

Quote
Cross Café, formerly known as Hitlers' Cross [sic] or Hitler's Cross, was a Hitler-themed restaurant at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai, a satellite city of Mumbai. The restaurant's former name, "Hitlers' Cross", referred to the swastika and the Cross of Honor of the German Mother, symbols of the Nazi regime, and the restaurant's interior was decorated in red, white and black - the colours of the Nazi party. An enormous portrait of Hitler was the first thing visitors saw when they opened the door. The manager of Hitlers' Cross told the Times of India: "We wanted to be different. This is one name that will stay in people's minds ... we want to tell people we are different in the way he was different." After severe criticism, Hitlers' Cross had to drop its name and is today called the Cross Café. Cross Cafe now has a branch in Nerul.

I wonder this... Are Indians even taught about what happened in WWII or is it just skipped over?

This section makes me scratch my head and say "Whaaaa?":

Quote
The inauguration of Hitlers' Cross was attended by several prominent representatives of the Navi Mumbai community on 18 August 2006. Dignitaries such as Navi Mumbai mayor Manisha Bhoir and former mayor Sanjeev Naik were invited as chief guests to the restaurant by the Sablok Builders group, who are reportedly behind the management of Hitlers' Cross, and are currently planning to open more branches in Mumbai. Actor Murli Sharma, who has featured in films like Apaharan and Main Hoon Na, was also one of the guests present at the inauguration. When asked by a news reporter if he felt disturbed by the name of the restaurant, Sharma said: "I am not really agitated as I have not read much about the man (Hitler). However, from what I know about Hitler, I find this name rather amusing."

.
.
.

Finally, on 24 August, after less than a week of international outcry and a meeting with local Jewish leaders, Punit Sablok agreed to remove Hitler's name and the Nazi swastika from billboards and the restaurant's menu. "I chose the name innocently. I didn't expect that it would snowball into a major controversy", Sablok said. At that point, he said he was unsure of the name to be chosen, but sure of one thing: "no more dictators". The Indian Jewish Federation reacted positively, saying it was relieved. "The incident exposes the lack of understanding of the present generation about the atrocities of the past and the need to educate them about crimes against humanity," Solomon said.[citation needed]

I wasn't aware of offensiveness of "Jew" as in our land and usages this is normal but anyways it will help me in my future interaction with any Israeli :)

Swastika is holy symbol for all Hindus and it is most common symbol that is used in almost all Hindu houses .

Hitler is known in India as ruler of Germany who killed lots of innocent men during WW but less people know that those men were Jew.

People don't have any hard feeling towards Hitler mainly due to the reason that  during WW II he offered to extend his support in Indian Independence Struggle . Indeed Germans with Japan had helped in raising Indian National Army to drive British out of India.

Correct my late uncle was a Chindit and fought against the Japs in Burma, [14 Army] and once spoke to Gen Orde Wingate who trained the Haganah! My uncle thought highly of Hindu & Sikh troops!

Of course you know that Hitler did not just kill men... But Men, Women, and Children were all gassed and thrown into the ovens by the Nazis..

If you want my honest opinion, I can't speak favorably for India, I am sure there are many Indians who have good intentions but I see them as mainly taking the jobs in the United States that we need, the corporations primarily outsource to India and is a major reason I lost my job with my former company due to outsourcing because they will work at a much lower rate.

They do steal American jobs by taking less money for the same work. I blame the corporations who consider themselves international entities rather than considering themselves to be American companies for that mostly but I still resent the fact that when I call somewhere I don't know whether it's some Indian faking an American accent or an actual American.

Quote
Other than that, I knew a few people from India at high school, a lot of them used to pretend they were Mexican, not sure why Indians in America are afraid to say where they are from, but if you support Israel and as the government is fighting against Islam, then I will support their efforts but I certainly don't have love for India.

India has a lot of nice natural wonders in it like tigers and Asian lions, Indian elephants, cobras, etc. which I think is neat, but unfortunately when I think of India I think more of diseases like amoebic dysentery and really nasty things like how some people drink cow urine or others who worship rats or monkeys.

we can't really blame them for taking the jobs. india needs jobs as well. the problem with india is it's government.

india has a history similar to israel. ruled by the british and got taken over by a native bolshevick establishment. having socialist bolsheviks rule your country is not the best thing for an economy, so they get a lot of jobs from overseas as opposed to locally.

at least thats the sense im getting

That's a problem within their country. Our corporations shouldn't be selling out Americans and giving the jobs to them. If they need jobs too (and they do) they need to fix their economy so they can produce the jobs locally. The USA is a total mess right now too and we need all the jobs we can get and nothing is being done about this problem to bring these jobs back home. Between them and the illegal immigrants and their 'legal' anchor babies, Americans are really getting the short end of the stick.

I understand your pains. To everybody, there are many different things on the earth which should not have been there, but they are there and they will not be there. So the Almighty helps and allows us to pass through the different times as per his own will. Actually I can not have anything against the Jews, because they have never been on the collision course against Hindus during the longest possible period of history and also never to be expected in future. Moreover they are the most valiant fighters against the muslamic terrorism and I believe them to be the only true religion, this irrespective of the fact that they are poles apart from Hindus in many aspects.

Whereas some Christians are concerned, I feel a little problem of conversion, but that thing is already declining fast due to spread of education, awareness, Dharma and economy, so I can digest it now without complaining.

As such, you can have Himalaya of complains against Hindus, but I can not have any against you, especially till the obliteration of the last muslamic empire at Bhalladpur and even after.

There can be laws passed that make it more difficult for American-based companies to outsource jobs.

Then the product and services of such companies will go costlier and difficult to compete in the market. Hence they may soon go out of order in the free market. Either such companies will be purchased by China or the China will capture the market itself.

China's another problem that needs to be dealt with but that one will be more difficult. I think the quality of the product would be higher and people would be willing to pay more when it comes to things like customer service. When I call a company with a complaint I'd rather speak to Bob in Ohio than Jawaharlal in Mumbai.

India has some serious issues they need to address in their own country, I don't understand how a country with as much technology and power status has so much poverty and starvation issues, when I saw pictures I was horrified.

Other than that, I knew a few people from India at high school, a lot of them used to pretend they were Mexican, not sure why Indians in America are afraid to say where they are from, but if you support Israel and as the government is fighting against Islam, and also are the enemies are Pakistan, then I will support their efforts but I certainly don't have love for India or really have any intention of wanting to visit there.

Thanks for your valuable views

India is still an young country of 64 years after freedom from the British Colonial rule in 1947.We are still striving to have
to overcome poverty and starvation to some of our citizens .

I don't know how we Indians could be balmed for taking jobs in US when globalization is ground reality . Personally I with many Indians
hate the idea to work for US or any other country but why you people ignore the fact that US companies are money mongers who by themselves setup their offices in Mumbai /Hyderabad/Delhi ?.

If Indians are causing issues with US economy than US policy makers should have courage to ban Indians and have close economy .
If Mac Donald and Microsoft can come and earn profits in India than US should have courage to either accept globalization or have close economy .

Hindu Nationalist Idea is totally against this viscous circle of globalization ,we don't want to waste our talent for some other country .

We are not stealing anything its our right in global economy to have participation if anyone is having problem than he should ask his policy makers to close their doors.

I hope you have upgraded your G.K after WW II era as amoebic dysentery and many other diseases have been eradicated in India.

I strongly oppose any violation of my religious beliefs at any forum ,I am proud that  we people drink cow urine or  worship rats or monkeys.
Are you comparing our civilization with some other? We have a civilization which is rich in knowledge and spirituality .We worship almost every thing and pay due regards to nature .
I hope you are ignorant about Ayurveda so you made a lame comment over cow urine ,please have some study before abusing anyone's belief and customs.
