I think we should support Huckabee, but we will only do so if a majority of JTFers agree.
*Huckabee is the only potential candidate for President who says that he opposes any Israeli surrender of Jewish land in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.
*Huckabee has said that he supports Jewish building and Jewish settlement of Judea and Samaria. On a trip to Israel last year, Huckabee praised the Jewish hilltop communities.
*Huckabee promised in 2008 to launch an emergency program to end U.S. dependence on all foreign oil within 10 years.
*Huckabee is solidly pro-life.
*Huckabee opposes the "gay" agenda.
*Huckabee opposes the Ground Zero Muslim Nazi victory mosque.
*Huckabee is a lifelong NRA member, owns many firearms, and has been a hunter since his childhood.
*In 2008, Huckabee opposed removing Confederate symbols from the flag of South Carolina.
*In 2008, Huckabee claimed that he now supports the platform of the Minutemen on immigration (which is excellent). However, Huckabee was not good on immigration when he was Governor of Arkansas.
*In 2008, Huckabee proposed eliminating the entire national income tax and replacing it with a national sales tax (which would be great). However, when he was Governor of Arkansas, Huckabee raised taxes. Ronald Reagan also raised taxes when he was Governor of California, but later became a tax cutter.
*As Governor of Arkansas, Huckabee freed convicted murderers and criminals who claimed to have changed after becoming believing Christians. Some of these creatures committed other terrible crimes after their release.
So as you see, there are problems with Huckabee. But overall, I believe he is the best of the bunch.
-
He may be slightly naive in some ways, but he's probably the best candidate out there. Is there anyone who is better or comes close to being as good of a candidate? It seems like the Republican party hasn't catapulted any personalities - unlike the democrats who had earmarked obama and drove him way in advance.
-
Wait to see who else comes to the forefront.
-
At this time, Huckabee is the only person on the horizon for whom I would vote.
-
I think jtf should put several videos endorsing him in case he chooses to run.
And if he does run he has my support. However I would also like to see who else will.
-
I think we need to help bring in the candidate who is most in line with our views. Even if this person does not win the primary, it helps to force the chosen candidate in the 'right' direction--hopefully.

This would be my preference as well.
While my current preference is still Sarah Palin, I'm interested to see who declares that they are running for President in 2012 and how a number of the debates go in 2011. The debates would give me a better indication of whether Sarah Palin is qualified to be President.
After attending many Campaign Forums/ Debates in recent months in Nassau Co. and Queens and getting to know some of the Congressional, State Wide, and local candidates, I'm being more cautious in going all out for Sarah Palin for the time being. Despite wearing a PALIN 2012 hat at times, including part of yesterday.
The reason I'm being more cautious is I have seen upclose the knowledge base of some candidates, compared to some of the others. This was very apparent in the two Congressional Races I was involved with. Time will tell whether Sarah Palin can measure up to to a high enough standard I'm seeking. That's part of why the debates in 2011 are very important for me.

If this article is any indication, we have a great candidate. To expect huckabee to "alter textbooks" because of his personal opinion is an insane extremism that will surely alienate the vast majority of voters and make him look like a vindictive nutcase like ann coulter is. The president's job is not to be an overextending tyrant like Obama who wants to enter all walks of life and assert his control.
I don't agree with Huckabee's "disagreement" with evolution (it's founded on ignorance of science), but I strongly agree with what he wants to do about that disagreement - little to nothing except to express positive values like the belief in G-d!

I say yes although I am leery of someone saying we can have energy independence in ten years. Nobody is as solidly pro Israel as the Huck.

Who cares about ann coulter or what she says?
Ok, how about Debbie Schlussel? She calls Huckabee a populist, pan-arabist, wannabe rocker. She said, "Dems are urging their crew to vote for Huckabee because they think he’ll be the weakest candidate and the one most easily beaten in November. They’re right about that." which is a point Coulter was also making.
http://www.debbieschlussel.com/3215/mike-huckabees-pan-arabist-campaign-manager-ed-rollins-recent-hezbo-sponsored-conference/
You know what they say about “the company you keep.” And this is the company Ed Rollins–the new chief of the Huckabee campaign–keeps. Rollins well knew what the Arab American Institute is about. It’s hardly a secret. And the sponsorship of its convention at which he appeared by La Shish was all over the conference info and literature. Talal Chahine, La Shish’s owner, had long been a fugitive and federal indictee, and it was well known he’d laundered $20 million to Hezbollah through the restaurant. Yet he appeared anyway.
So, will Mike Huckabee denounce Hezbollah and HAMAS? He hasn’t explicitly done so. And the presence of Rollins atop his campaign says even more. If this is the kind of guy–who looks askance at terrorism ties and support–that Mike Huckabee hires to run his campaign, imagine what his White House will be like.
What was it that President Bush said (but didn’t mean) about how “you’re either on our side or the terrorists’ side”?
Mike Huckabee’s new campaign manager spoke and participated in the terrorists’ American front group’s national convention and encouraged them to become more involved in American politics.
http://www.debbieschlussel.com/3267/mike-joe-perry-huckabee-ugh-meet-another-wannabe-rocker-who-ran-for-prez-instead/
For the last several days of pre-Iowa Caucuses coverage, many of the clips of Mike Huckabee feature him playing guitar. And that’s a bad sign. When I see politicians playing musical instruments, it reminds me that they were likely wannabe rock stars and musicians who failed. So, in order to get the same rock-star like fame, they’re running for President or making Israel amputate itself to death, or both.
Why Huckabee loses Debbie: "* Anti-Huckabee Club for Growth Ads: In the week or so, we saw a lot of anti-Mike Huckabee ads on TV. They were very effective comparing the high-taxing Huckabee with Bill Clinton as Arkansas Gov. This took away votes from Huckabee, and I believe, drove many of those religious Christian voters away from Huckabee and into the Romney camp, where they like his values versus McCain’s more “moderate” ones. Romney did well in the Western part of the state, where Evangelicals have their base. So much for the view that Evangelicals are “intolerant” and won’t vote for a Mormon. Don’t believe it.
http://www.debbieschlussel.com/3303/when-im-wrong-im-wrong-romney-wins-michigan-primary-heres-why/ (http://www.debbieschlussel.com/3303/when-im-wrong-im-wrong-romney-wins-michigan-primary-heres-why/)
When evangelicals would rather vote for a Mormon from Taxachussets over a "conservative" Christian pastor from the South, that is a HUGE problem.

Who will? And of those who will do so in your mind, who is also a suitable candidate?

According to polls, Huckabee is the most electable of all the Republican candidates.
But you support Bobby Jindal, whose response speech to Obama was probably the worst I have ever seen. Jindal certainly has no chance of winning and will not be running in 2012.
You also support Sarah Palin, who could not even get elected in her home state of Alaska after resigning from the governorship in the middle of her first term because she could not take the pressure of the job. Palin is so unpopular in her home state that the candidate that she supported for the U.S. Senate, Joe Miller, got only 34% of the vote. Miller was beaten by write-in votes for another candidate who is Palin's longtime enemy. If Palin is on the Republican ticket in 2012, G-d forbid, Barack Hussein Osama will be reelected in a huge landslide. The latest polls show that only 27% of the American people believe that Palin is qualified to be President.

Chaim is 100 percent correct in supporting the hucksta.
He is a very likable guy, very witty and last year without any funds beat both mitt romney and ron paul and came overall second to the fraud mccaine.
If his grassroutes movement starts earlier he can win. obama is dreadful and would loose to huckabee in debates, polls shoswed huckabee won mosat of the tv debates.
Chaim is spot on and a great choice so i vote yes...
-
Perhaps Marco Rubio? Lt. Colonel Allan West? Ilario Pantano?
I haven't heard Jindal's lame speech yet, or if I have, I've forgotten it, which proves your point, Chaim. Like JTF, I've lost interest in Palin, in part because the media was successful in ruining her and because she apparently prefers to be on trash reality TV along with her daughter.
Huckabee eats squirrels cooked in a popcorn machine. He is a lost cause.

What about Tom Tancredo?
Mike Huckabee pardoned that criminal who killed police officers in Seattle!
Mike Huckabee supported AMNESTY for illegal aliens, and then FLIP-FLOPPED!
Mike Huckabee supported TAXPAYER SCHOLARSHIPS for Illegal Aliens to go to COLLEGE!
Three strikes he's OUT!

I've spoken to Democratic groups and liberal Republican groups that loooove abortion. He flip-flopped when running for President, because he knew it was a no winner in a GOP primary. However, we know that his NATURAL instinct is to support it, so if you vote for him you have to HOPE he ignores his natural instinct and sticks to his pledge (how much is a politicians pledge worth?) The Huckster goes where the wind blows, if he becomes President and is told by his "advisers" that in order to get re-elected he needs the hispanic vote he will flip-flop once again!

Sarah Palin is also good for America and Israel. She condemned freezing settlements in Judea and Samaria and said Nuclear Iran could lead to a Second Holocaust. She is also a lifelong NRA member, she is also pro-life, supports funding alternative energy opposed amnesty, and says the Ground Zero victory mosque "stabs hearts."
-
I support him I voted for him in the primaries
-
Also, the problem with Allen West is that he has no experience in politics. Maybe after he's done his job in office as a representative then he'll be ready to take on a new challenge and campaign for presidency. How do you market a guy who was not even in politics and has a seat for probably less than a year before he must begin the campaigning for 2012 election?
Maybe he can run in 2016? I don't really see it as realistic that he'll run now.

a. Palin supports creating an independent "Palestine" state in Israel's Biblical heartland which is national suicide for the Jews. That is an anti-Israel position. I have heard some people say that she only supports that because she doesn't know any better. Well that means she's too dumb to be President and will allow her pro-Arab advisers to guide her Middle East policies. Whether Palin is knowingly anti-Israel or whether she is simply ignorant - either way she should not be President.
opposed amnesty
Not true! Palin supports the McCain plan to create a "path to citizenship" for illegal aliens. She and McCain deny that that is amnesty but they are lying. It certainly is amnesty.
Huckabee now says that he favors deporting all of the illegal aliens, which is the same position taken by Tom Tancredo. Is Huckabee changing his position just to get Republican primary votes? Possibly. If Huckabee were elected, we would have to hope that he sticks to the position which he adopted in 2008.
she is also pro-life
Then why did Palin support pro-abortion candidates in Republican primaries in Georgia, New Hampshire and other states?
All of the candidates that Huckabee endorsed in Republican primaries were pro-life.

Yes, I have been saying from the beginning that Huckabee stands apart as the only legitimate candidate who has integrity and intelligence.
No candidate can compare. He is right on nearly every issue... with the exception of being soft on Obama.
He is Pro-Life, Anti-U.N., Pro-Israel, Anti-Amnesty, Anti-Taxes, Pro-Marriage, Anti-Big government. He is also an EXCELLENT speaker.
I HATED MCAINE FOR THAT 'PATH TO CITIZENSHIP' DOUBLE TALK. Typical political B.S. from a typical politician. He is just as bad as Rand Paul, and other open-border advocates, BUT, he tries to hide it.

I think we should see if some new blood enters the race... I still have a bad taste for the backstabbing deal Huckabee and McCain pulled on Mitt Romney during the Republican Primaries... If Huckabee would have worked with Romney instead of McCain we may not have a filthy [censored] in the White House now that is chomping at the bit to carve up the State of Israel. Huckabee has grown on me some what due to his show on Fox... It has given him exposure and he seems like a good person despite some lapses in judgment in the past... As far as schooling Chaim is as sharp as a tack when it comes to most issues but here at JTF he is preaching to the choir. Personally I think he is honestly asking for the memberships opinion.
-
I suppport Huckabee 100%!
Right now there is no better candidate with a chance to WIN than Mike Huckabee!
-
I think it is way too early to name names.... I agree that we should support Huckabee over Palin. I believe Palin will do her job of attacking the dems but ultimately her negatives will cause her to fail in the long run. It is beneficial to have Palin out there in order to give democrats the feeling that they are safe, until the run-up to the elections when a strong Republican will take her place.

I voted yes because I think he's the best out of a bad bunch but I will support him Chaim. There are some things I really don't like about him though. I think he will be very weak on the immigration issue. As a Texan this is something that will affect me very negatively in a personal way, eroding my quality of life even further.
Quotation from Huckabee:
"One of the great challenges facing us is that we do not commit the same mistakes with our growing Hispanic population that we did with African Americans 150 years ago and beyond. We're still paying the price for the pathetic manner in which this country handled that . . . I think frankly the Lord is giving us a second chance to do better than we did before."
Oh please! Remember here he's referring to an invading foreign power, where millions of people loyal to that foreign power are flooding over the border every year.
He also said: "Pretty soon, Southern white guys like me may be in the minority".
Apparently this drew laughter from the audience of America haters he was speaking to. He's also a bit out of touch. In Texas, whites are already a minority! He's a traitor as far as that goes.
If it weren't for this immigration issue that he's incredibly weak on, I'd feel better about him, but I will still help to support him because of the reasons you mentioned Chaim.

Where is the politician that runs on a platform that people immigrating to the U.S need to eventually consider themselves Americans before all else? I don't see the logic of allowing people into our country with a "reconquesta" attitude!

Me too!
I voted NO to support Mike Huckabee. Did you know he also had hard drives DESTROYED after leaving as Governor of Arkansas? That was STATE property! Nothing ever came of this story after hearing this, I wonder why? His stand on immigration is also a huge problem for me. Yes, he has a great show, but I just can't get past the kind of man he was when he was Governor, sorry.
-
At this point Huckabee looks like the best option. It is still early. I would wait until April before issuing an official statement. Let's see what goes on in the new Congress and if any new Governors take decisive action regarding their state's economic situations (maybe a strong anti-union Governor will come out of nowhere). We could be in a grave nationwide economic crisis in a few months and this could reshape the entire political landscape.
The question we have to ask ourselves is who can defeat Mitt Romney. The media will support him (for the Republican nomination) and he will spend an incredible amount of money. Huckabee beat him in Iowa last time and he probably can do it again, but I do not see how he can beat Romney in New Hampshire. Last time around McCain used New Hampshire to build momentum (with the help of the media). This could easily happen again with Romney taking the place of McCain. If Romney wins Iowa then it is over. Palin could seriously hurt Huckabee in Iowa and give Romney the win.
I think Marco Rubio is a very intriguing person and may become a legitimate vice-presidential candidate. I am interested in learning more about his views on global issues.
At this point I would start to lay the foundation for the movement's anti-Obama campaign and set it up in a way so Huckabee or a similar candidate could easily become the focus whenever JTF decides to choose one.
-

Yes, he's a personality also. Huckabee is not a personality that will energize people or have charismatic appeal. But so far there aren't any that are running that I'm aware of.

I love Tancrado. It really made me mad when the GOP candidate didn't drop out which in effect prevented him from having a chance last night in the Colorado Governers race. But having that said he is way too far to the right to capture those independents. Huckabee on the other hand is very likable and would get those independents. I could see Tancrado as secretary of Homeland Security.

Do you think there is no chance that M.Bachmann will run for President ? I think she is smart, she has faith and integrity and I trust that she is a good person. My only reservation so far is would she be tough enough under tense circumstances. Also, I'd like her to make a clear unequivocal statement about the "two-state solution" in Israel. But, overall, she is my favourite personality among Republicans.
Also, the fact that she is a woman could be an asset against Obama, because the American people might decide that it is time a woman was sent to the White House.
And I think she has more charisma than Huckabee. She has more emotional intelligence than him and, this way, she can touch people's hearts more effectively than him.
-
I think we should focus on striking Obama right now before we name names.
Huckabee is a phony:
I’ve visited Israel 9 times, and strongly believe in its right to exist & the important example it has set forth in its seriousness toward its own security as well as the admirable expectation it has of its people to be stakeholders in its preservation. Even though I support Israel, its boundaries, and its future, and believe its alliance with the US is one of great strategic value, a conversation with a Palestinian reminded me that the issue is not simple.
The Palestinian was relocated had been told one day that he would be relocated to a Palestinian camp and that his neighborhood would be occupied by Israelis. It was always easy to me to understand why the Jews, having been displaced for thousands of years, would feel a divine right to return to the land promised to their forefathers and previously taken from them. But Palestinians are still human beings who deserve to be treated respectfully since they personally have not done wrong and now are being forced from what has been their home.

I don't think most people feel this way, but I think there's a substantial number of people, a very large minority of both men and women, who would rather see a man continue to be president than to elect a woman.
Maybe when people see a woman they have a hard time thinking "presidential" because they've never seen an example of a strong female leader like that except in other countries.
There are a lot of people who just won't vote for a woman. To most people, this might not make much of a difference, but in a tight election, where every vote counts, then I do think it could change the outcome.
So before we throw our support behind any female candidates, we need to make sure that they are very strong in other ways as far as electability, being qualified, etc.
-
Thanks for digging that up, Ron. Palestinians "have not done wrong" and "are being forced from what has been their home" : wow, what a great supporter of Israel (and truth) this Huckabee is !

Based on what I know about Michele Bachmann, overall I think she would be either my top preference or close to it.
I have two concerns though:
1) She mentioned Pat Buchanan in a positive manner in her 2010 CPAC speech. In a way that gives Buchanan credibility as a Conservative.
2) Her position on the Energy issue could be better.
-
I also think that Mike Huckabee is a very good canditate. However, It looks like Sarah Palin changed her ways. She endorsed Tom Tancerdo and the Arizona SB1070 bill. The GOP canditates she endorsed were Kelly Ayotte and Karen Handel which were both pro-life and still called Obama "The most Pro-abortion president ever. Of course she would have to oppose the two-state solution in order to be truly Pro-Israel.

Huckabee does say stupid things about "Palestinians", but he opposes giving them a state or any land in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem or the Golan Heights. Huckabee says that he would support creating a "Palestine" state by taking land from the Arab countries - that is his proposed "solution". He also says that if this means that there will be no agreement with the Arabs, then we have to accept that there will be no agreement.
This is by far the best position ever taken by a major Presidential candidate.

By the way, Huckabee's position on Israel is to the right of all of Israel's major politicians. None of them would say that Israel should not give up any land. It is very hard for a Gentile politician from America to take a position on Israel that is more pro-Israel than Israel's own leaders - but Huckabee does this.
-
Do you think there is no chance that M.Bachmann will run for President ? I think she is smart, she has faith and integrity and I trust that she is a good person. My only reservation so far is would she be tough enough under tense circumstances. Also, I'd like her to make a clear unequivocal statement about the "two-state solution" in Israel. But, overall, she is my favourite personality among Republicans.
Also, the fact that she is a woman could be an asset against Obama, because the American people might decide that it is time a woman was sent to the White House.

It's wrong to under-estimate the little details of what he says. Huckabee clearly supports the Nazi Arabs in order to look good in the eyes of the media. It is yet another example of how phony and populist Huckabee is, the other one being his denial of his pro-amnesty positions. Huckabee has history of denying things he does believe in and he will absolutely have no problem saying things he doesn't believe in in order to gain popularity. He's undoubtedly a Palin type - a so-called Conservative whose principles are to be sold like hotdogs and is more dangerous than Leftists because he is considered a Conservative, but is even more dangerous than her because he's not a moron.
I see this as a historical precedent of what will eventually be a disaster, and if we decide to support him as a movement, there will be no limits for our regret.

Huckabee feels he has to look "humane" toward the Arab Nazis. We strongly disagree with that, of course. The Arab Nazis are Amalekite beasts who have always dreamed of slaughtering every last Jew, and the Muslims would also love to slaughter every last non-Muslim.
But even within the quote that you bring us, you see why Huckabee is much better than the other candidates running:
"Even though I support Israel, its boundaries, and its future, and believe its alliance with the US is one of great strategic value..."
Huckabee says that he supports Israel's "boundaries" which he defines as including all of Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.
Huckabee also says in that same quote that you bring us:
"It was always easy to me to understand why the Jews, having been displaced for thousands of years, would feel a divine right to return to the land promised to their forefathers and previously taken from them."
Huckabee as an evangelical Christian believes that the Jews have a "divine right to return to the land promised to their forefathers". Huckabee believes that G-d gave this land to the Jews and that he cannot support taking this land away from the Jews.
Having said all of this, you do raise a legitimate point: what if Huckabee changes his position once he becomes President? That danger exists with any politician and it is a legitimate concern.

Chaim, in the last couple of weeks I posted some info regarding Mike Huckabee in an existing thread. I'm not sure if you saw this but it's something that I think is worth bringing to your attention. I know that all the realistic candidates are going to have significant concerns associated with them. Maybe Huckabee will prove to be the best choice. Yet, the following info is part of a pattern regarding Mike Huckabee:

Totally outrageous. This does happen in the US, look at the case in Buffalo,NY of a physician who did this to his wife when divorce was imminent. They co-owned a radio station whose purpose was to propagate a mainstream version of Islam.
-
I don't think most people feel this way, but I think there's a substantial number of people, a very large minority of both men and women, who would rather see a man continue to be president than to elect a woman.
Before 2 years ago you could've said that about a black guy too.

Perhaps there is no candidate we can support.
That or saying something like this is only a way to appear "fair" - but if ultimately he is against giving them land (he understands that calling them human beings is fair, but giving them land is not), maybe he's viable.

Specter's primary opponent was the conservative Pat Toomey, who was elected to that Senate seat this past Tuesday. Specter beat Toomey 51% to 49% in 2004 thanks to Santorum's endorsement. Specter eventually switched back to the Democrat party - he had been a leftwing Democrat most of his life.
Santorum himself was defeated for reelection in 2006 by a huge margin. If he can't win in his home state, there is no way he could get elected to the Presidency.

So Huckabee already plays the cosmopolitanist populist double-standard game. I don't understand why you focus on these beautiful words of his.
Huckabee as an evangelical Christian believes that the Jews have a "divine right to return to the land promised to their forefathers". Huckabee believes that G-d gave this land to the Jews and that he cannot support taking this land away from the Jews.
Huckabee as an Evangelical Notsri lies about his beliefs so he can be popular among conservatives and leftists alike and cries for the enemies of G-D. That's enough for me.
Having said all of this, you do raise a legitimate point: what if Huckabee changes his position once he becomes President? That danger exists with any politician and it is a legitimate concern.
We've already learnt that there's the type of "conservatives" like Palin and Bush who will do anything to stay popular and couldn't care less about G-D's People and Land. So Bush said about Operation Defensive Shield: "enough is enough" and Huckabee says the same about evacuated Arabs. I don't see the difference. Both are phonies whose only concern is $$$ and a seat and not principles and we already see that.
Only the blind will support this guy. A so-called pro-Israel candidate is worse than a flaming Nazi Democrat because he can fool the Jewish public in Israel into destruction and enslavement to the U.S the same way a phony rightist can do as the PM of Israel.

Here are two interesting public quotes in favour of Huckabee :
“There is no room for a Palestinian state in the middle of the Jewish homeland and Israel should be able to build settlements wherever it wants.”
“But there’s really no such thing as a Palestinian. That’s been a political tool to try and force land away from Israel”
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall any other US candidate speaking so clearly.

Look, will we agree with everything huckabee says or does??Of course not, Chaim said once that we even have disagreements with our loved ones. But the fact is he is a moral bible believing man, the only arguement against him is "he might flip flop on all his policies". Well maybe he might, but you can say that for all politicians. But fact is currently he IS the best candidate by a mile if you look at sheer policies and likability.
The fact that a guy with zero funding produced such a grassroots movement shows he has charisma. Remember he got his follwing only through his tv debates, no fancy money(mitt romney), or psyco sheep(ron paul supporters), just likability and wittness.

Take Tancredo off my list, I just learned he opposes Israeli settlements in so-called Palestinian land!
http://www.cfr.org/publication/14756/candidates_on_the_israelipalestinian_conflict.html (http://www.cfr.org/publication/14756/candidates_on_the_israelipalestinian_conflict.html)
Rep. Tancredo (R-CO), who has campaigned tirelessly for a wall to separate the United States from Mexico, frequently has cited the effectiveness of the Israeli security wall cordoning off the West Bank. In 2004, Tancredo called on then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to “stop settlement expansion on the Palestinian side of the fence.” In 2006, Tancredo cosponsored the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006. He joined in resolutions condemning the late Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat during the early years of the Bush administration
I am hoping Duncan Hunter,a former Congressman, decides to run again. He is against "free trade" which is destroying our economy, and for unleashing the U.S. military against our enemies. Finally, he is against Israel giving up any territory, and unlike Huckabee is not flip-flopper on Immigration nor a pardoner of murderers.
http://www.jewsonfirst.org/07b/yoffie.html (http://www.jewsonfirst.org/07b/yoffie.html)
If he becomes president, Rep. Duncan Hunter says he will continue to hold the position that Israel should surrender "not one inch" of disputed territory to the Arabs in exchange for pledges of peace.
Addressing a Christian Zionist meeting in Alexandria, Va., Sunday evening, the California Republican recalled a visit with his father to the Golan Heights, where they viewed a narrow valley where a small number of Israeli tanks had held off more than 1,400 Soviet-built Syrian tanks during the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
Hunter, a Vietnam veteran and former chairman and current ranking minority member of the House Armed Services Committee, said he had vowed then that he would always support what he called that "postage stamp of a country."
-
tancredo, hunter... etc. These guys have no chance to win even a single state primary, let alone the presidency.

What did Huckabee win? Iowa and then flame out!
Huckabee is an even worse position now because he pardoned that cop killer, and he is gaining back all the weight he lost!
Hunter has been consistent on this issues, and frankly you never know what can happen in politics. Maybe he will have shining moment in a debate, and then some online money bombs. The Tea party is more likely to support Hunter than a former Arkansas Governor who pardoned a cop killer, and supported taxpayer funded scholarships to illegal aliens, and amnesty for illegal aliens!

One of my concerns about Mike Huckabee is regarding the general election campaign. I'm not sure if Huckabee has the resolve to counter Barack Hussein Obama, who will do WHATEVER it takes to remain in the Oval Office. Huckabee just seems to be too nice. A pitbull approach is what appears to be needed as part of a winning formula against BHO.

Chaim, here is my full take on the matter:
On this matter, I agree with Ron. Huckabee might turn out to be the best we have got but I'm not convinced yet. Ron's quote on Huckabee's position on the Fakestinians is one I dug up years ago and posted liberally during the primaries here. I am not sure at all that I trust him. We could very easily have a Jimmy Carter here--someone who attacks Israel and supports the Arabs with a religious zeal. It's great that he says he supports the pioneers and that they should be allowed to construct unfettered NOW, but back before he was in the limelight, this wasn't exactly his position as Ron has reminded us.
Huckabee's record prior to running for president is one of a fanatical religious leftist. That's what we have to work with and actions speak louder than words. You said that he might be another Ronald Reagan--a semi-left-wing governor who becomes more right-wing as president--but that's not exactly something to aspire to. Ronald Reagan (ys"vz) was a Nazi pig who invaded Lebanon in order to crush the IDF, railroaded Jonathan Pollard, sucked the Soviet taqqiyah master Mikhail Gorbachev (ys"vz)'s tuchis to no end, and threw you in prison for six years in order to suck up to the Soviets. He also praised SS (yimach schmam) butchers at his Bitburg address and was very good friends with Fag Buchanus.
At this point, I'm not convinced yet that a Romney-type wouldn't be the best we can get. I would love for Duncan Hunter to run again but barring a miracle, there's no way he's getting the dozens of millions of dollars that will be needed to put on an effective primary (and his party would support Yasser Arafat before it supported him). Romney is an establishment politician, but I really don't see him going out on a fanatical crusade to help the illegals, Arabs, etc. He will probably be a centrist--better than a RINO whore like McCain, and more electable and competent than an idiot like Sarah Palin.
-

True. And yes these things are disturbing.
Huckabee clearly despises Romney and wanted him to lose in 2008. While Romney was indeed a dreadful candidate, McCain was even worse. Therefore Huckabee's personal vendetta against Romney was very unfortunate.
Huckabee is much too nice to Barack Hussein Osama. But so are the other Republicans. Remember how McCain forbade anyone from using Osama's Muslim middle name of Hussein? Or how McCain kept saying that Osama is "decent", "moral" and a "patriot"? Sarah Palin said that she hopes that G-d blesses Osama in his Presidency! How could this idiot misuse G-d's name to bless a Muslim racist? "God bless Barack Obama and his beautiful family" is what Palin said. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/09/us/politics/09memo.html
Huckabee changed his tune on the "Palestinians" after his tenth and eleventh visits to Israel. As Yaakov Mendel points out above, Huckabee now has stated that there is no "Palestinian" people. Only the Kahanists say that. Scroll down on this article and click on the video and tell me if this is isn't the most pro-Israel Presidential candidate in American history. Here Huckabee says there are no "Palestinians" and that giving up the Golan Heights would be "suicidal". Huckabee also says he can't believe it when he hears Israeli politicians talk about giving up land. Honestly, he sounds like a JTF member in this video:
http://wonkroom.thinkprogress.org/2010/06/14/will-jeff-goldberg-call-for-huckabees-resignation
BTW can someone please make a good copy of that video for us?

DBF - Crush the IDF? He did no such thing. Reagan went in there to protect the PLO from the IDF and give Arafat y's a military escort out of Lebanon so the Jews wouldn't kill that hitler. This is terrible for sure, but not the same as what you said.
Are you asserting that those Marines were unarmed and had no standing orders to fight?
-
I like Huckabee very much, but he is too fat, probably unable to raise a billion dollars to match barack hussein the muslim, and just too nice a guy to be president. I think we need someone ruthless, like Romney.
-
They did not fight the IDF. The IDF did not fight them. Let's not invent history.

Let's see. Reagan sent the Marines to Lebanon to shield Arafat and forestall the IDF. Do you think those Marines were unarmed? Do you think that if the IDF hadn't pressed onward that the Marines would not have attacked (they should have anyway of course, but that's besides the point)?
This is an awful lot of hairsplitting just to try to make a Nazi president not look quite as bad as he was.

Chaim, here is my full take on the matter:
On this matter, I agree with StopArabOccupation. Huckabee might turn out to be the best we have got but I'm not convinced yet. StopArabOccupation's quote on Huckabee's position on the Fakestinians is one I dug up years ago and posted liberally during the primaries here. I am not sure at all that I trust him. We could very easily have a Jimmy Carter here--someone who attacks Israel and supports the Arabs with a religious zeal. It's great that he says he supports the pioneers and that they should be allowed to construct unfettered NOW, but back before he was in the limelight, this wasn't exactly his position as StopArabOccupation has reminded us.
I agree with DBF on these ones.

Before 2 years ago you could've said that about a black guy too.
The president is commander-in-chief of the military. A lot of people will keep that in mind when they vote, and will not want a woman in that position. I didn't think even two years ago that Obama's race was a serious problem for him. I think it helped him more than anything.

It is weird that it doesn't bother the people to have a Black Muslim America-hater as commander-in-chief of the US military while they would rule out a true patriotic Christian commander-in-chief because she is a woman.

What?
Huckabee is not fat.
He used to be over weight but he is skinny now.

He gained the weight back

Maybe you are onto something. If he cannot commit to the "new him" physically, why should we blindly trust his new stands on the issues?

I already said he has a certain logic to that. I think his remark was intended in jest but it reveals a deeper truth, i.e. that this man's commitment to his own goals and promises might be suspect. I think that's a perfectly fair lesson to get from his weight fluctuation.
And also--let me point out that if a female candidate exhibited yo-yo weight gain/loss (unless she were black), she would be so mercilessly ridiculed and excoriated that none of her views on any issue would matter in the least. I am sick and tired of the double standard by where it's okay for men to be fat@$$es, but women have to look like Kate Moss at any age.

Oh, so that made it ok or acceptable to me?
It's beyond silly. It's a doom and gloom prognostication you see in an attack ad. If this was how he handled his daughter's bad grade, how is he going to handle congress' bad grades in their latest term!
It is very difficult, physically to eat right and stay in shape. Especially when one lost a great deal of weight at a rapid pace. Quite often weight comes back in that scenario. And they cycle. It really says nothing about their convictions or willingness to adhere to principle in the face of political pressure. Standing up for Jews in Judea and Samaria does not require resisting to eat donuts or putting in an hour at the gym each day. Remaining against illegal alien invasion does not require resistance to mcdonalds value meal.
And also--let me point out that if a female candidate exhibited yo-yo weight gain/loss (unless she were black), she would be so mercilessly ridiculed and excoriated
Not by me, cowboy.

I meant it as a jest as DBF put it. Clearly my argument against Huckabee is not going to be solely based on his yo-yo dieting. If Huckabee is the GOP candidate I will support him, and if during the primaries Huckabee is the best candidate out of a field of RINOs then I will also support him. At this moment I think we are getting overly excited over Huckabee's statements to a few Jewish supporters on a youtube video. Similar to how we all got excited over Sarah Palin having a little miniature Israeli flag in her office.
Remember Obama stated at AIPAC he believed Jerusalem should remain undivided, and the next day flip-flopped on that! http://townhall.com/Columnists/MichaelMedved/2008/06/11/obamas_undivided_jerusalem_-_more_meaningless_words (http://townhall.com/Columnists/MichaelMedved/2008/06/11/obamas_undivided_jerusalem_-_more_meaningless_words)
Now if Obama can flip-flop on a promise he made on TV at AIPAC, then Huckabee could easily backtrack on comments he made to a few Jews on a youtube video.

For Obama it was never a flip-flop, he was lying! And whoever didn't think he was lying was a gullible fool!

I guess it is a moot point, but after listening to the beginning of this week's ask JTF, it would be dumb not to support Huckabee from the get go..and if he doesn't run, we find another candidate..and if he doesn't end up getting chosen, we'll find another candidate..but best to start now supporting him.
-
It's pretty obvious to me that Huckabee is the candidate to support. I voted for him in the Ohio primary in 2008 and would like to support him again.
Chaim, does this mean I should remove your Jews for Palin video from my main account, or should we keep it up until they start campaigning? It's got over 5,000 views:

The Jews for Palin video was appropriate for the 2008 election when we wanted to prevent Barack Hussein Osama from getting elected. I hope people will be able to figure out that this was for 2008, not 2012. I think the video should stay. The video did draw many views, thank G-d. If someone sees the video and comes to our web site, they will clearly see that now we are supporting Huckabee.

Chaim it seems like zootube has clamed down on banning your english vids.
Could you do some 10 minute election videos on huckabee, hussein obama etc..
-
Chaim, if some Jew, independent of JTF, wanted to start a "Jews for Palin" movement today, would you consider him or her a self-hater?
-
I am still wondering if he is going to set that fire not only with Republicans but with anybody that fire power you expect with a candidate in such a major election. Plus can he match up Bam. I mean we know Hollywood and all the left goobers will pour in so much for Bam. The other thing is people are wanting of young fresh energy. This past mid term election was mostly the economy and unemployment.. Foreign issues and mainly Israel was considered an after thought with any candidates this past election. If it is Huckabee of course I will support, I just hope,, really hope he has that punch he needs. I still do question the fact when he was gov he made huge tax hikes in Arkansas and also let out a convicted criminal and that convicted criminal commits a crime again when was sent out to society.

Chaim, regarding that video and a number of other JTF videos that JEWSAGAINSTOBAMA.COM is listed on the video itself. When I currently go to that address, I'm getting the following page:
http://www2.searchresultsdirect.com/parking.php4?domain=jewsagainstobama.com®istrar=273212&keyword=senator+barack+obama&eq=5ceb0979a394a44a4f84e53b19fc38d2e7a0df8f859dc4cfa09832ec8a59d41a0b6f9650d88ce5913260b5480038dfe0&ac300=1
In my opinion, renewing the JEWSAGAINSTOBAMA.COM address would be a good investment for JTF.

In my opinion, renewing the JEWSAGAINSTOBAMA.COM address would be a good investment for JTF.
Why?
Many of the videos from 2008 that are still on ZooTube and elsewhere on the Internet have JEWSAGAINSTOBAMA.COM listed on the actual video. When people watch these videos, some are going to attempt to go to the JEWSAGAINSTOBAMA.COM site, which used to be JTF's site. Hence, I believe JTF should renew the domain name in order to increase the chances of adding new members to the Forum and hopefully more financial contributions to JTF/ VJA. My guess is the cost to renew the JEWSAGAINSTOBAMA.COM domain name is far less than the potential benefits.
-
DBF, one additional thought comes to mind about why I think renewing the JEWSAGAINSTOBAMA.COM would be a good investment. Basically, its for the reason why Chaim decided to use the name in the first place: it attracts attention.
It's a nickname that's the antithesis of political correctness. If I wasn't familiar with JTF and happened to see the name 'Jews against Obama' , I certainly would be interested in finding out more about the organization.
Also, a primary goal for JTF in the next two years will be attempting to defeat Barack Hussein Obama in the 2012 Election. The ' Jews against Obama' name ties in to this central theme.
-
I just pray huckabe will not be a dispicable itzhak shamir! That they say the good things and do the opposite
-
Ideal ticket, in my opinion, would be Mike Huckabee & Allen West, the latter being another person that I know who openly supports Israel and bashes islam. He also happened to be Black.
