Jihad in spreading in South Africa. For years, jihad camps tied to al Qaeda have continued to grow, but South African authorities have done nothing about them.

JOHANNESBURG – It has emerged that the police’s specialised unit, Crimes Against the State (CATS) and the State Security Agency (SSA) have uncovered al-Qaeda-linked military training camps operating in South Africa, but are doing nothing about them.

The year-long investigation by the Daily Maverick revealed inaction by the police despite incriminating evidence about the training camps and those who set them up.

State intelligence agencies started monitoring the activities soon after the World Trade Centre attack on September 11, 2001 but ceased their surveillance in 2010.

After nearly a decade of top secret surveillance and intelligence gathering, it has emerged that state intelligence has even stopped spying on known military training camps.

The operations are said be led by Johannesburg dentist, Junaid Ismail Dockrat and his cousin, Muslim cleric Farhad Ahmed Dockrat who have been identified as al-Qaeda financiers, recruiters and facilitators. 

You know – the moderates  – before they weren’t.

For years jihadists in South Afrrica have tried to incite blacks to “kill the whites” much the way we are seeing jihadists in America and the Middle East trying to use Ferguson to incite to kill.

Al Shabaab is also operating in South Africa. The terror group has been targeting and murdering non-Muslims there:

Elite cops are investigating claims that terror group al-Shabaab is behind the murders of 14 Christians in the Western Cape.

The killings occurred within a 10-month period across the province, from Mossel Bay to Philippi, Macassar and Paarl.

All of the victims were Ethiopian Christians living here and the murders were initially thought to be random xenophobic attacks on foreigners.

The latest of these is a shop owner who was gunned down in Philippi last Friday.

But police are now investigating new evidence that the killings have been carried out by Somalia-based Al-Shabaab.
