After attacking Cruz and helping Trump become president, now Hannity proclaims “if we don’t have people like you [Ted Cruz] in the Senate, we’re dead.”

During an interview on his popular radio program on Wednesday, Sean Hannity endorsed Senator Ted Cruz in his 2018 bid to be re-elected on the same day that the Texas senator and former presidential candidate will be challenged by an establishment-chosen RINO squish, a Houston-based energy lawyer by the name of Stefano de Stefano.

“I enthusiastically endorse you for re-election,” Hannity told Senator Cruz after asking if the endorsement would help or hurt him. “We need you in the Senate, we really do. You have been a leader and a principled conservative all these years,” he said.

Hannity, a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, seemingly even in the GOP primary where Cruz was clearly the most conservative candidate, had a very contentious interview with Cruz around the Republican Convention and delegates, said that he’d always been a big fan of Ted Cruz.

“I know people thought we went sideways during the election — we did not — I’ve always loved Ted Cruz,” he told Cruz, who came in second place behind Trump in the 2016 GOP presidential primary out of 17 Republicans.

Ted Cruz’s Republican challenger, Stefano de Stefano, said that he’s running to oppose Cruz so that he can compromise with Democrats, a party of coastal elites and sexual perverts who must be defeated before they destroy America with their Marxist policies.

“Honestly, if we don’t have people like you in the Seate, we’re dead,” Sean Hannity said. “We really need you.”
