Attorney General Lynch: My “Greatest Fear” is Rise of Anti-Muslim Rhetoric

Attorney General Loretta LynchIn the wake of recent Islamic terror attacks in Paris (130 dead) and San Bernardino (14 dead), what is our Attorney General’s greatest fear? Rhetoric.

Buzzfeed reports that Attorney General Loretta Lynch warned yesterday that the Justice Department could take aggressive action against people whose anti-Muslim rhetoric “edges towards violence” and told the Muslim community that “we stand with you in this.”

Speaking at Muslim Advocate’s 10th anniversary dinner, Lynch said that ever since the attacks in Paris last month, she is increasingly concerned with the “incredibly disturbing rise of anti-Muslim rhetoric… that fear is my greatest fear.”

Her greatest fear: not the slaughter of our own citizens at the hands of Islamic fundamentalists, but “anti-Muslim rhetoric” – the dreaded but mythic “anti-Muslim backlash” looming large in the left’s nightmares, but which never materializes.

“My message not just to the Muslim community but to all Americans is ‘We cannot give in to the fear that these backlashes are really based on,’” Lynch said.

Hmm, so the concerns of Americans about Islamic terrorism are based on “fear,” not on actual instances of Islamic terrorism?

Lynch declared that she intends to use the DOJ to protect Muslims from discrimination and violence: “When we talk about the First amendment we [must] make it clear that actions predicated on violent talk are not American. They are not who we are, they are not what we do, and they will be prosecuted.”

In other words, the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.

  • It’s not surprizing that a political party once based around defending slavery would now back muslim nazis as they flood into the USA.

The usurpers in the White House don’t want to alienate their next biggest voting block after self-hating liberals and racist blacks.

  • What exactly constitutes “anti-Muslim rhetoric” Ms. Lynch? This is so poorly worded and vague that it can easily be misconstrued. Her greatest fear is violent “anti-Muslim” rhetoric? Welcome to the twilight zone folks. What a moron.
