Gaza rocket lands in Strip after sirens sound in South
The IDF detected a rocket launch from the Gaza Strip on Friday morning which set off sirens in the Eshkol Regional Council on, a military spokeswoman said. Last Friday, a rocket launched from Gaza landed in the same region in southern Israel, the second such incident since Israel and Hamas reached a deal on August 26 to halt seven weeks of fighting. The attack was likely launched by a Salafi terror group in response to the recent tensions at the Temple Mount, Army Radio reported on Tuesday, citing defense establishment estimates.
