PLO Fatah member claims Sha’ar Binyamin stabbing
A [Muslim] Arab man who said he is a member of Fatah claimed responsibility for Friday’s stabbing attack in the Sha’ar Binyamin region, north of Jerusalem, in a video uploaded to Facebook hours after the attack took place, Haaretz reports.
One victim in his 40s was seriously wounded in the attack after being stabbed in the upper body outside a chain of the Rami Levy supermarket.
In the video posted later, the man, who identifies himself as Baraa Kaid Issa, says that he is a member of Fatah’s “military arm”…
“In my name and on behalf of the Palestinian people, I, Baraa Kaid Issa, ID number 40630297, have sworn to protect Al-Aqsa and defend our occupied land,” the man says, according to Haaretz.
“I have vowed with all the power of my body and mind to perpetrate this attack, with no pressure from anyone,” he declared.
The video has yet to be authenticated, however.
The stabbing in Sha’ar Binyamin was one of four terrorist attacks against Israelis on Friday.
The stabbing took place just minutes before an Arab terrorist tried to run over IDF soldiers near Halhoul north of Hevron in Judea. The female terrorist was shot dead before being able to inflict any injuries.
Later on Friday, terrorists shot and wounded two Israeli teens in Hevron, at the Tomb of the Patriarchs. One of them, a 16-year-old, was seriously wounded and his condition was later downgraded to moderate.
A second victim, 18, was lightly wounded in the attack. Both were taken for treatment at the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
Finally, an Israeli was very seriously wounded in a shooting attack at the Beit Anun junction near Hevron.
He was taken for treatment at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, where he underwent surgery. Doctors at the hospital told Channel 10 News on Friday evening his injuries remain life threatening.
On Thursday, an Arab terrorist was shot dead after he tried to conduct a stabbing attack at a bus station in Gush Etzion Junction, located in Judea.
The terrorist approached the bus station in the direction towards Alon Shevut, but fortunately was unable to wound anyone before IDF soldiers stationed at the site spotted him and began to arrest him as a terror suspect.
They shot and eliminated him after he whipped out a knife and tried to stab them.
