This is my opinion if Chaim whats to go to Israel to fulfil the commandment to go and live there and find a wife, then I believe Hashem will open up the door for him to do so. The Jew always stands alone. There are always exceptions, though. Even in 1947/48 there were gentile vollunteers fighting for the Jews in EY when everybody thought it would mean certain defeat by the arabs.
